I’m just genuinely curious how in our team we can have a maximum br of 12.7 while in the enemy team they have 4 premium su-30’s that are 13.3 and 2 aircrafts that are 13.0. And it’s not the first time matches like this happened. Like where is the fairness in this matchmaking?

This is intended behavior. You can face opponents up to two (I think) BR Steps above or below your own rating. ex: At 12.7 you can face DOWN to 12.0 (12.3, 12.0), and up to 13.3 (13.0, 13.3).
The matchmaker is intended to keep things mostly fair, but sometimes you’ll either end up in a full downtier, seeing inferior enemies and some allies in worse aircraft than your own, but more often than not, you’ll be in uptiers, seeing much better enemy presence, and better allied aircraft.

i know, but i promise you out of 15 games, 12 or even 13 are uptiers.(talking about me playing the F/A-18.) and not uptiers in 13.3, constantly in 13.7. i don’t have a problem being in uptiers, but when every single game i get one it gets quite frustrating. At least they should try to make it a 60-40% or something like that. 60% uptiers while 40% downtiers or even the same battle rating.
you can even face enemies 3 br steps away from u
(eg the 109f4 can face the p51d30)
Had a game yesterday in AB where my team had 10/12 bombers, while the enemy had 12/12 fighters.
MMer couldn’t possible take half of our bombers and put it on the other side while giving us half their fighters…
13/15 games being uptiers sounds absolutely right.
Again, this is the norm.
The matchmaker is simply that broken. It continues to get worse with every new aircraft they add at existing BRs without decompression.
I love this game, but damn, it’s getting harder and harder to play and enjoy.
I wish I could grind Japan with the F-5E FCU at 11.3, but it doesn’t have a premium bonus (Squadron Vehicle)

I also love this game, but it’s becoming more and more painful to play or even to grind it. I just bought the american f18(Thank God it was reduced) and it’s one of the worst if not the worst decision i made in this game. I seriously consider buying the f5-c as with the f18 you can’t play, every game you need to multipath r-77’s, phoenix’s and fakour’s, and if you dare to go up a little to catch a lock, that was your game, return to hangar and go next just to die again. :))

there are some brs where you will nearly always get uptiers
others will give you constant downtiers
the reason for that is just that some brs have way more aircraft in them than others
F-5C is the best US Premium for Air, now that the F-20 is discontinued.
Wrong, you can face up to 1 full BR bracket below or above you. (This means at 12.7 you can face 11.7 to 13.7)
The issue is that at 12.7, there are less players spamming 11.7 or 12.0 than there are 13.0, 13.3 and 13.7 (with 13.7 being one of the most played ARH Tech Tree BRs) so some plane, especially 12.3/12.7 tend to face full uptiers a lot. There’s a reason why 12.0-13.0 is known as the compression bracket.
