We straight up already have 80% of what r73m is. And as far as aim9x equivalent thatd be r74m/m2
with how the r-73 currently performs, it might still be a better WVR missile than the 9x in WT

R73m shoukd have the overload increased from whst it is ingame yes but that would change little to nothing about the missile perfomance, at slow speeds where the missile is most maneivwrable it never gets close to pulling full 40gs. The ircm is really 90% if the missile.
Edit: ive had an r73 do two 45° aoa turns to keep itself straight after a very tight high speed turn to nail a short range gripen. Love those things it looked absurd lol the missile was straight up horizontal to the target twice
the biggest problem it has imo is that it spins out sometimes
and i hope that gaijin will fix that when they add more TVC missiles
No, the missile is physically identical, only the seeker changes and the r73m never existed
Not gonna lie i never have it happen. The real issue with r73s is that because of their speed theyre easier to flare than other fov gatewidth missiles( still better the shutoff imo) my real issue is hoe much r77s miss at close range. I love r77s but they miss way too much at close range even -1
R73 ingame should be more maneuvereable iirc. Its not about the difference between r73/m. Which as you said its the seeker
Technically the R-73m was supposed to be an improved version, but it was never made, only the r74m was, but they only pull 40 to 45Gs, the idea of 60Gs is russian copium.
it isnt copium the r-73 is reported to pull 60G

I dunno about 60 but a while ago i did see some decent bug reports saying 50gs. But that might be with dual plane(seriously why isnt this in the game already)

Aim-9Ms were only ever “dechirped” so Aim-9Ms should only have those lock ranges. But they would be such a nice little bone to throw Britain for its 9Ls too

Pl5e2Magic 2 and pl8b have theur incredibly fast acceleration and good maneuverability.
Aam 3s are the best all rounders.
R73s have tvc.
Aim9ms have nothing just boring

I agree, but I don’t think the solution is to ask the missile to make 40 Gs because one source says so. This is just to get to the point of talking about the r-73 and asking for aim-9x, which makes no sense.
