Aim-7P and Aim-9 buff?

Aim-9L could do with a buff. Has absolutely zero flare resistance.

I know what IOG is… but that’s not what you typed… mate, just say “auto correct” like a normal person would, hell @Beeschurger here just caught me posting an incoherent tirade because I accidently posted a half typed opinion before I ran it through spell check, it’s not that big of a deal.

Well in Canberra they hold the documents proving that RAAF Hornets shoot missile carrying commando drop bears that board the enemy plane they hit and take control to fly it against Australias’ enemies… except the emus, they have a non-aggression pact, but emus are are flightless so it’s never really come up.

Basically, Gaijin has left heavy bombers with generic, low-poly “placeholder” cockpits for literal years because they claim the time it takes to model a massive bomber flight deck isn’t worth the return, since most people fly them in third-person anyway.

Secondly, Right now, the AIM-7F and 7M Sparrows are notorious for self-destructing or going completely stupid the second your radar loses lock for even a microsecond.

Yeah, i think that everyone forgot about the RAAF. and apparently for your statement, they have F-18 fleets?

wow its almost like they dont have irccm, also have you used an r60m? its even worse, cause its FOV is huge

yes that is what i said, its not that unreasonable, we can be glad they work on cockpits at all tbh considering only sim players really need them and we all know how often they get forgotten about

yes, they do not have the ability to require targets after they has been lost, that would require some minimal form of DL which they do not have

clears throat

autocorrect.

Yeah, Aim-9s aren’t ICBMs, so don’t expect them to have IRCCM, which i don’t even know what that is

Mostly retired, 1 squadron of super hornets still in service, they where a stop gap due to delays in F-35 deliveries. All the legacy Hornets went to Canada or where scrapped.

are you two different people? or just using chatgpt?

I’m writing them all myself, i’m just feeding off of information from google, and even MORE.

also they ARE provably underperforming. The AIM-7P is missing its historical lofting flight paths and its mid-course datalink is broken compared to how it handles TWS updates IRL. And the AIM-9L/M are locked to flat 30G single-plane limits because Gaijin won’t model combined-plane aerodynamics, which would let them pull 45G diagonally. There’s plenty of actual document-backed reasons for a buff."

Pretty much, an entire phase of the HUG program was replacing parts of the airframe that was breaking apart from the stress of their flight hours.

Yeah, the RAAF completely trashed their F-18 airframes from high flight hours and severe G-stress. Phase 3 of the HUG program was basically a multi-million dollar structural rebirth where they had to do full Center Barrel Replacements with Canada just to keep the wings from snapping off when pulling high-G hooks to track targets. Which is incredibly cursed considering the fact on how much the F-18 is durable.

I mean, its literally a metal tube with wings, engines, a bunch of computers, a radar, and a gun.

Twas a joke on my part 😭

yes

then prove it, go make a bug report with all the sources you are using

again, source?

idk what problem you have with its DL its already very powerful

just gonna correct you quickly there, *All missiles are lock to singleplane manuever limits because dual plane aerodynamics arent in the game at all

its a lot of math that if you want to program you would be more than welcome to

then go make some bug reports (apart from the dual plane manuevering one because that would just get closed as “not a bug” because its not a bug its a conscious decision by gaijin to not model dual plane manuevering, i assume they will one day but math is hard)

Aight ill make the bug report, gimme a sec.

Also the document source: “Standard Missile (SM) Block II/AIM-7P Sparrow Integration Study / NAVAIR Weapons System Flight Performance Manual”

So the AIM-9L is apparently good… actually what was i even thinking
