Ever since this latest patch my Aim-7M’s on the F/A-18A aren’t tracking. I’ve played 4 games so far and in 3 of them I watched the missiles fly off into a random direction completely away from an enemy that is flying head on and straight towards me. Am I the only one experiencing this? It’s really frustrating.
If you could record and put a bug report im sure it’ll be flagged as a bug since thats not intentional
(happens sometimes to me)
How do I record it? Do I need recording software or something?
That is correct
Thanks but I don’t have recording software on my PC, and I would rather just stop playing until they fix it than go through the hassle of submitting a bug report
Honestly I think that all planes equipped with aim 7m face this issue
Not to the same extent as the F-18A for some reason. Even the F-4J with high prf radar is more reliable
For me I struggle with the f14B takes forever to kill someone or the missile doesn’t track well or I can’t get a radar lock
The F-14 for me gives me less issues, but it also has high prf radar only, so is inconsistent in cold aspect shots
I understand the radars struggle with cold aspect tracks or tracking a target in a notch. I expect it to miss in that case. What grinds my gears is the amount of missiles veering away from targets flying head-on in a straight line in the beginning of the match. I have more luck hitting maneuvering targets than oblivious players. I try to launch around 10-15km’s which is way inside the range of the missile and it just turns away from the target’s trajectory, like it’s going for a nice cruise somewhere else.
Hi,
To get this looked into it needs to be submitted as a bug report so all the info can be looked at.
