you made and force us to grind for a plane almost 2 weeks with a hell of a pressure countertime and we got AIM-4G/F that cannot catch a subsonic plane between a distance above 0.8 km/h.
How can you deliver such a tragedy AAM to the game… if I only I had known that F-106A was about to be a complete disaster I would have put 0% effort to grind this aircraft.
This “Unsuper Falcon” missiles bleeds speed faster than a paperplane bad folded, AIM-4G/F has no proximity fuze, on the data sheet in-game says its max speed is 3.0M and a turn of 27G, but How is that possible that it reaches 3.0M and bleeds from 3M = 1234.8 km/h*3=3704.4 km/h to under 500 km/h in less than 5 seconds?
How does it say it turns 27G but it can be easily dodge by small turns??
I do not know how in your head was a good idea/balance…
can’t trust you to deliver a good thing in this game… and I bet AIM-4G/F will never be properly buffed…
Thanks for a poorly delivered new aircraft :) it is appreciated the quality of this game

Wasn’t a good missile in real life either.
The F106 strength is in its airframe, engine and gun

Not sure about that either, it bleeds speed and has terrible acceleration, if we compare to one of its same category and same BR (F-104A/C). F-104 is superior, better acceleration, better energy retain, it may have poor turn time, but at least F-104 can maintein its energy and use it in its favor, but F-106 is somethign that cannot do.
By default, because the tiny wing areas they can’t actually spend the energy

You have the best plane at the BR, by far, and you complain your missiles aren’t also I-win buttons.

managable, and not always a bad thing
straight up just wrong, its quite good for 9.3
no
this only helps it versus the f106, but the f106 clears any actual fight
doesnt matter
this doesnt matter, both aircraft can BnZ the same at the BR but the f106 isnt restricted to it.
good plane just requires good play style like mirage 3 C

Meh, there’s better.
I’ve found them to be decent. The use cases aren’t that much different from an Aim-9B, and you can extend their range by keeping high speed. I generally fire at <1.5 miles.
The real injustice is that the Aim-4Fs can’t be guided by your beam without a lock.
Not that you would be a good judge, but I’d be curious to hear what you consider better…
Mig-21 (obvious) and F-100D are both more versatile whilst having similar advantages to the F-106. The F-84-grade acceleration on the F-106 is really what takes it down from the best 9.3 to one of the best 9.3s.
the f106 is actually better in some cases for dogfighting than both named aircraft, with the missile they are quite sad(probably dodged some missiles that should have hit…)
(with the dogfight I havent had much due to plane being kinda new)
How is the first generation mig21 better…
I can agree F-100 is more versatile but versatile doesn’t mean it’s a better jet. It’s still definitively worse in air RB.
The energy loss makes it really easy to beat an F-106 with some verticality.
It’s kinda like the difference between the Kv-7 and the Hetzer. They’re both overpowered, and I’d say the Hetzer is more OP than the Kv-7, but realistically you’re going to be getting more kills in a Kv-7 than in a Hetzer.
Hetzer and F-106A screw over the few people that they actually engage with, however Kv-7 and F-100D, whilst easier to counter, tend to harbor more kills.
depends on the plane type actually, if you can retain your speed than the f106 has its problems… anyways the missiles are in need of a buff, they dont reach anything…
the plane feels a bit like the mirage3c but with worse acceleration and worse missiles(atleast to play against, dont want to get rid of my coupon for the market)
Idk if there’s any historical buffs they could receive, but they’re pretty consistent in my experience when launched at a high speed at under 1.5 miles
same, I wasnt really interested in the f106a and the aim4, but they do not feel right…
Wasnt the AIM-4 used against bombers?
