AIM-120s are too OP

@Boitatáツ Seen the replay yet? I managed somehow to get markers of missiles working again, the AMRAAM basically just then went up above me and missed, did that twice, after i dodged second i got swatted by 9M of 15J i didnt noticed cause i got tunnel vision on the 16C defending.

yes I saw it, I also started doing something similar, I spent some time watching my replays to try to understand how to defeat them effectively, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, on some planes like the Gripen and the F16 this works, but on an F15 or in a flanker it is extremely difficult to get out of the fox3, I don’t know if it has anything to do with the plane’s RCS because I don’t know if this is modeled

Bigger targets and maybe RCS as you said

Its suppose to be op bro

It is also because these twin engine are bigger so when you move up and down to slow you make your self a bigger target i would try to spin a little while doing it. (i haven’t played yet sense on vc but that works irl)

For the past 1.5 years multipathing has been blocking R27ER and the meta has solidly been Fox-2 spam.

这游戏就是风水轮流转啊,没FOX-3之前那些麻雀载机打27er不也是压力很大吗?之前是呃er的时代,现在是120的时代了

Bingo. The people that were dying to radar missiles in the multipathing meta need to look to themselves for blame

The complaints about the 27ER would have actually been valid with today’s multipathing.

All you have to do is turn 90 degrees and chaff. I really dont understand how people find that hard.

I was hit by AMRAAMS several times with the tornado at 20m sea level.

I got hit on hilly maps even though I was flying between forests below tree level.

Multipathing definitely doesn’t work as it should under 60m.

However, you won’t notice this if you spam your Fox3 at an altitude of 11km and then fly back to the airfield.

It remains cranking and notching. I can do this perfectly with the Mig29 up to a certain distance. From 6km (it feels like I don’t have any reliable data for this) it’s over.
But that also applies to my R23ER, so that’s fair.

For Tornado, the changes made the game unplayable.

What remains is that you stay far away from the fighting and then, when your own team and the enemy team only consist of 4 jets, you can still try to get a few ground targets.

With a bit of luck you’ll come across jets that are “only” hunting with their IRCCM rockets and you’ll dismantle one or two in the headon.

Or you can live with bombing a bunker and a SPAA and then getting shot down by an ARH.

You can’t get to bases.

Until the patch, I have never experienced a BR that leaves you with no chance in the uptier with any jet.

Eh. Nothing you can do bout it. Embrace the update

Except you could never know if missile was affected by multipathing, also if fired directly from above there is no multipathing (funny to do it with r3r)
Not to mention that it often ignored multipathing and hit anyways or its spread from ground hit you
R27er was just too good forcing you to only play at ground level and even then you had to sweat where aim7m is a 11.3 missile and failed often even in ideal conditions

I don’t see a problem with this missiles. They often do not reach their target. In fact, it seems to me that the proximity fuse is somehow suspiciously weak.
