AIM-120C-5 vs AIM-120A/B

Has a bit more kinematic energy at long range than the aim120b, but it pulls slower and accelerates slower when maneuvering off the rail.

So if you usually launch a few at high altitude in the beginning of the match, make sure those are 120c5, for everything else the aim120a/b would be a better suit.

In simple terms: Garbage.

Newly found brochure from China is indeed dated 2024. It even shows the missile mounted on a plane.

Trash ive given up carrying it.

it shows something, the likelyhood of it being a functional missile is nonexistant as its the single only picture showing something “exists”

People like you wouldn’t believe it exists even if it was delivered to your living room for professional examination by you.

because it doesnt, theres no proof of it existing under in any shape or form, your terrible responses dont change that lol.

As I said, people like you wouldn’t accept any proof, just because you don’t want it to exist for obvious, selfish reasons.

is the proof in the room with us right now? ive already had this convo with you, im not having it against, your “arguments” are emotional an dumb im not interested in resurfacing them.

Yes it is, you’re just blind while having (presumably) both eyes in operational state.
Your arguments are emotional, the missile has been showcased and you’re just coping about it, wanting it to go away.

they arent,

it hasnt.

projection.

yes its fictional, even in the remote case it exist it wouldnt work like a maverick on crack because thats not the purpose of these weapons, im done with this convo as i said, its offtopic and you have no valid arguments.

Someone can’t use their eyes. Being blind to the facts is one of the worst things for a person.

I gain little to nothing with 38MT staying in the game, so I’m pretty objective on that matter.

It’s fictional if you believe hard enough, so I’m gonna leave you at that.

am i the only one who cant seem to hit anything with aim120c? (using euro typhoon)

its worse than 120A

thank you for clarifying it , i honestly thought i was going crazy , it was somewhat good in june but coming back now not a single air to air kill

It’s better at long ranges because the aim120c will be faster and retain energy better while maneuvering (at long ranges)

For everything else, the a/b is better due to the initial faster acceleration and lower weight that helps with maneuvering.

If you plan to send a few long range shots in early game at high altitudes, use 120c for that, the rest of the missiles should be the 120b since they are slightly better at everything else.

Isn’t C-5 supposed to be better than A/B in every way since it straight upgrades?

What’s supposed or not supposed I can’t say. But this is how gaijin implemented these missiles.

tbh even at bvr i still dont hit anything so i dont see the point of it

Any BVR requires sekrit ingredient of paid actor taking no meaningful evasive actions.

You can increase odds of hitting by maintaining TWS track even after missile goes active, to keep datalink channel open. That way, when target notches missile, but not your radar, you will still update inertial guidance on the missile so it can fly to correct post code. If you’re lucky, it might even fly close enough for proxy to trigger, without seeker ever regaining tracking.
