it makes no sense for adding the aim120c5 to the f15e/i and not the eurofighter , i would ve understood if they gave the fa18 late aim120c5 and thats it but adding it to the f15e/i means that also the eft should get it

hope this comes to eurofighter too. they already suck from useless radar and IRST, its reliant on speed and missiles. and the amraam does all the work as we don’t have ASRAAM or meteor

I already told morvran to do a post abt it, its entirely fair to me that EFs should get them if the F-15E was already announced to be receiving 120Cs.
Besides, it’s a decent buff on the maneuverability department from the AIM-120A.

yea its a major step up with a better motor.
seeing as its a late 90s mark it ought to be able to go to the FA2 harrier too. would actually make that thing less crap (it would still be ass at 12.3 and its 13.0)
if morvan ever does a post about it lmk , realistically speaking the aim120c5 would give the platforms up to maybe a maximum 10km of range over current aim120a/b but the big diff would be the agility it would be able to pull better in HOBS situation while still being worse than r77 mica derby aam4 pl12 in this regard it would be an improvement
It has a slightly better booster w the maneuverability of day 1 AIM-120A, i don’t find it that troublesome considering its on the easier end of notchable missiles
I mean it make no sense if somehow eft don’t have it but F-15E does both are 14.0 jet even for fox3 load out F-15E can carry up to 8 AMRAAM while eft only maximum at six

I dont think adding at 14.0 the aim120c5 to be any issue i did go into the dev server and at bvr its close w the aim120a/b and until i fired it in close range where it pulled better than aim120b and felt a lot closer to an aam4 i didnt saw a diff , if they are gonna add the aim120c5 for the f15e/i i am all for it to give it to the eurofighter aswell as the performance of these 2 is similar , ef2k is more agile f15e is slightly faster ef2k carries 6 fox3 f15e does 8 biggest diff is the radar the f15e radar is decent to good while ef2k is really bad

The range is twice as large, the explosives are also larger and the controlled flight time has been increased to 120 seconds.
Does anyone have the performance envelope of aim120c in the Dev server?
Probably because the Typhoon can rinse the F-15E in most other areas
though the F-15E getting it at all is hilarious

Instead of claiming the range is twice as fast go in to the dev server test on the f15e both aim120b and aim120c5 and u will see that the range is improved slightly(at best 10km) and biggest diff is the agility aim120c5 can be used in WVR much better than aim120a/b(still way worse than mica r77-1 r77 derby its on the AAM4 level almost)
f15e/i is slightly faster carries 8 fox3 and has a better radar
EFT is slower more agile and carries 6 fox 3 with a worse radar
In truth BVR performance was about the same but adding the aim120c5 would make it so f15 is clearly the better bvr platform while eft(f15 is slightly worse in furballs comapred to eft but also has better radar and 2 more fox3) doesnt perform as good in the furballs against the rafale or su30 cuz of the missiles diff , both f15 and eft are in similar positions either perform in the BVR arena or they become way worse giving it to one of them but not to the other makes no sense and i belive the aim120c5 will come for most top tier jets that could carry it in this dev server.
The only aspect that EFT can beat F-15E is dog fight anything else F-15E is better faster better radar more amraam too

I don’t know how people are able to defend this, because top tier is arguably incredibly balanced without one nation clearly dominating. Now we are back to the US being yet again the best nation at top tier, and most other BRs too.

i agree exept 1 thing overrall top tier is balanced between nations atm exept 1 france the rafale is really good having one of the best radars in game if not the best one of the best missiles in game and an unrealistic speed u can go mach 2 with no issue with it but far better balanced than in the past
at least in sim untill the SU-30 was added RU had a roughly 25-35% wr dispite having generally more skilled players due to anyone no able to defend against the disgusting numbers of better missiles kinda just got locked out of the mode. And it was like this starting from roughly when the su-27 and f15 were added. they do have seperate BR’s the su-27 is 13.3 in sim.
blu would obviously have a decisive advantage on avionics on 4th gen up until ‘4+’
they had advantages on everything from airframes to missiles to avionics to spawns you were doomed to lose playing redside for a full year. on a side note the ER’s power was nullifed by 100m mutlipathing and the most popular maps being extremely flat which lead to f15a’s f16cs and GB grippens spawn camping red airfields.
Tested the C-5 now. Actually pulls 35Gs when launched. It’s amazing! NATO mains (probably) rejoice in WVR
