This has been disproven ad nauseam at this point with in game models and testing, the 120A and B in every situation will reach the same maximum range as the 77-1 about 12 to 15 seconds after the 77-1 and lags about 3 to 4 seconds behind the 77-1 at all stages of flight due to it’s reliance on it’s sustainer.
I loose braincells anytime someone leads in with “I only want decompression” no you want to keep your superiority in play, you never cared about slaughtering lower BR vehicles until you yourself started to get slaughtered.

You mean no. You didn’t asked for decompression when the R-77-1 and the MICA buffs came into place, sounds like another convenient argument when Russia’s dominance comes contested.

Meh, I had to play the HMS-less+anemic-sparrowed F-15A in a HMS+IR missile meta, players with R-27ERs won’t suffer as much.

I had no idea the mica was buffed until someone told me, and the Su-30SM still isn’t by far the best plane in the game at whatever it does.
That still doesn’t change the fact you can’t buff something drastically and not adjust its BR to conpensate. We need decompression and anyone saying otherwise is just wrong.
Boo boo Russia dominated for a bit clearly this means they should face Aim-120C carrying F-15Es. Good luck playing your Mig-29G, Su-27, F-15A, or any 13.0 ARH carrier now.

I just despise your convenient timing on asking decompression ALWAYS whenever NATO gets something new to play with.
I know fully well that 13.0s like the F-4F ice or Su-27 should be 13.3, but making them face Aim-120Cs will just reinforce the fact that they can’t be moved up.
I’m also concerned about the balance of 13.7/14.0 since it’s genuinely the 2 most balanced consecutive BRs in the whole game (excluding the J-11A). Why should gaijin ruin that and not rebalance stuff accordingly?
no. the aim-120a is already a better missile than what most nations get outside of like the r-77-1 if a plane is to be balanced it needs to be weak at something having the f16 just be giga isn’t the answer its probably why the EFT didn’t get them either

it was for 1 patch the blueside (mainly the US) dominated ever since the grippen was added at least in sim
thats not true most nations get the aim120a/b that has the biggest range but also the worse performance at close range, pl12 have less range but are more agile ,aam4 have comparable range with aim120 but more agile , mica have a way faster acceleration and the range is only an issue at low alt while having the best seeker in game, r77-1 have less range only cuz of the launch platform but also perform extremely well at close range almost comparable with the mica, in truth only domination right now is the rafale that has one of the best radar one of the best missile and an insane FM, if u would give everyone at 14.0 the aim120c5 u would give 5-10km range at best
The problem is, Gaijin doesn’t balance sim as a separate entity from RB (raw performance-wise, not BR-wise), so considering its game rules, blu would obviously have a decisive advantage on avionics on 4th gen up until ‘4+’ when the J-10/Su-30/Rafale came to the scene.
So i wouldn’t say its totally unfair now. It was for a decent time, but nothing entirely relatable to RBs dictation the R-27ER or even the AIM-54 did for a while on BVR engagements.

it makes no sense for adding the aim120c5 to the f15e/i and not the eurofighter , i would ve understood if they gave the fa18 late aim120c5 and thats it but adding it to the f15e/i means that also the eft should get it

hope this comes to eurofighter too. they already suck from useless radar and IRST, its reliant on speed and missiles. and the amraam does all the work as we don’t have ASRAAM or meteor

I already told morvran to do a post abt it, its entirely fair to me that EFs should get them if the F-15E was already announced to be receiving 120Cs.
Besides, it’s a decent buff on the maneuverability department from the AIM-120A.

yea its a major step up with a better motor.
seeing as its a late 90s mark it ought to be able to go to the FA2 harrier too. would actually make that thing less crap (it would still be ass at 12.3 and its 13.0)
if morvan ever does a post about it lmk , realistically speaking the aim120c5 would give the platforms up to maybe a maximum 10km of range over current aim120a/b but the big diff would be the agility it would be able to pull better in HOBS situation while still being worse than r77 mica derby aam4 pl12 in this regard it would be an improvement
It has a slightly better booster w the maneuverability of day 1 AIM-120A, i don’t find it that troublesome considering its on the easier end of notchable missiles
I mean it make no sense if somehow eft don’t have it but F-15E does both are 14.0 jet even for fox3 load out F-15E can carry up to 8 AMRAAM while eft only maximum at six

I dont think adding at 14.0 the aim120c5 to be any issue i did go into the dev server and at bvr its close w the aim120a/b and until i fired it in close range where it pulled better than aim120b and felt a lot closer to an aam4 i didnt saw a diff , if they are gonna add the aim120c5 for the f15e/i i am all for it to give it to the eurofighter aswell as the performance of these 2 is similar , ef2k is more agile f15e is slightly faster ef2k carries 6 fox3 f15e does 8 biggest diff is the radar the f15e radar is decent to good while ef2k is really bad
