Aim-120-C5 Opinions, Useless, more useful?

I think I have a source for the 27 degrees aoa, I MIGHT be misremembering, I’ll comb through what I have(unclassified ofc). I have a manual for the cf-188 that might have it but I think it’s still classified unfortunately.

Maybe this could help?

nevermind, seems like it’s for DCS so questionable

I thought C-7 gets a new motor also

All AIM-120s missing Low-Smoke motor
AIM-120C-5 missing low-smoke motor
The C-5 having the same loft as the A/B
Seeker range
Report for HOBS

Gaijin keeps giving the “OEM manuals needed” well knowing everything is classified, and then they get mad when people leak restricted manuals. Everything should be modeled according to public sources not OEM manuals in specific. This will be a bigger problem later on when we get other newer missiles or other newer aircraft

This one literally has a primary source and authored reports, and still got denied.

I think this update might be one of my last straws

Wait for the shit storm when they add aim120D and make it a copy paste of aim120A

yeah I saw that, idk how they can justify that

Community needs to rally again

looking at it idk if they attached the DoD report but even just the brochure should be a valid source

It used to only be confined to Italy and the UK. They gotta rebrand because the whole “historically accurate” thing isn’t gonna fly anymore.

I feel like almost every vehicle ingame that isn’t Russian has at least a minor accuracy issue, ignoring big ones.

Tbh at this point even classified documents would be rejected due to some bs reason

Thats cause gajinn bugged the seeker i wouldnt use footage as of now

Reading all those replies i think we clearly all agree that the c5 is a major disapointement, everything its supposed to be wasent added and it now is barely even diferrent from its previous variant, and we cant even prove them wrong since they know the c5 data is classified

It would do us all a solid if one sould could test both aim120 varient and compare them then send the results here

its chatgpt

yeah r77 should be around 0.5 instead of 0.3 from this video:
edit* more like 0.3-0.4 seconds, gaijin seems mostly right here

“No thats clearly an obvious capitalist dog lie great russia cannot be nerfed”

seems like i might be slightly off, just based off export brochure, it’s clear that fuze activation time is underperforming because it would not activate in time for the min range. Rewatching the video from the official export video also seems like it’s actually around 0.3-0.4 seconds because gaijin doesn’t model missile dropping off the rail then firing, so gaijin is close enough, not 0.5 seconds like I erroneously said (in game missiles dont drop off the rail, they are fired straight from them). also russian bias is not real if that’s what you’re trying to say.

Anyone have videos of aim120s being launched from the rail (not dropped then activated). I can probably get guidance delay from that

Was mostly mad tbh they gave us a newer supposedly with better specs missile and removed all the unicity and make it into another copypaste that your forced to grind
