Now that the C5 has been added. Ignoring the major missile bug, how does the community feel about this missile, is it still just a 120A downgrade or did gajinn manage to fix this missile ?

how is it a downgrade, geniunely curious since it has much more range (not sure if because of longer booster better aerodynamics or something else)?
It has more range it will never reach a barely different motor no hobs shot while it has LITERRALY this exact feature irl with the 7 differents purposefully ignored bug reports and community talks about it, got purposly nerfed to start turning after more time, is missing 5g and all this probably with “blalalance” in mind since it would be “too overpowered”

It’s mid, just like the aim - 120a/b. only good against clueless targets
And somehow this missile balanced by a Russian company is still better than the A in 2 things.
Gets to target 2 seconds faster
Turns harder even after the 0.6 useless purposefully given nerf
it seems to barely want to hit targets, it goes ahead and blatantly misses the target most the time, i was lucky to even get the two kills in this video but i also did fire off half my missiles
Range is a small advantage. Whilst its harder to defeat kinematically at longer ranges, its no harder to notch and chaff and just using it further away, just gives the target more time to do so.
At shorter ranges its slower than the A.
The main upgrade should have been 5 extra G of pull and 0 guidance delay. neither of these are modeled
it gets to the target slower at shots less than ~20km which are the most important shots, and from what ive seen it actualy pulls slightly less than the 120A

It sucks, on slamraam its even worse, it just goes straight for the ground
Useless. Its is slightly better at distances of 30km+, theres that, but such shots generally have the lowest PK of all the scenarios. Better than nothing I guess.

Useless. Disgrace. However you want to put it. Missiles are still not fixed but for some reason i always die to missiles.
-No HOBS
-No low-smoke motor
-Pretty much the same range as the A/B
-Same shit seeker
TL;DR
War Thunder is pretty popo in general but now is even more so.

Yeah this update was tragic
The HOBS features are not what you think they are.
Dual plane is not possible in War Thunder at this time.
1- Dual plane isn’t in-game.
2- Not necessary.
3- No it isn’t, it’s 30km longer range.
4- Seeker wasn’t majorly upgraded until C-6/7, and even then it was marginal.
Seekerhead upgrade for c7 not c5
Some hardware and software for guidance were made since the B variant. I suppose the C-5 had better tracking/ ECM resistance.
