Not too long ago they actually added AI planes in ground arcade, as far as I observed they don’t attack anything and their role only served as an extra targets for spaas to have something to shoot at, not entirely sure killing them would drain the enemy team’s ticket or not, they are also half-assed the AI as they just disappears at the end of the waypoint which is in the middle of the battlefield. Some convoys would be nice if killing them only gain lions or rp and does not affect the team tickets in any way.
This does not lower skill floor. Does AI planes on Air Battles lower skill floor for PVP condition?
It allows clickbait players to contribute to the team, much like the artillery targets in air battles
If you want AI targets go play arcade assault.
Here’s something - I also like PVP. But wish that clickbait players an benefit from Ai targets for easier grind/contribution to the team.
PVE and PVP shouldn’t be mutually exclusive
This is your dumbest idea yet.
You bomb bases in fighters. What you want is called “test drive”
You’ll like World War mode and/or if they ever bring a enduring consternation mode to ground. They have bots that are part of the victory conditions.
Ground random battles are supposed to be mindless team(ish) death-match.
Yk, I’d love to be able to read any of your posts and see it as sane and not just noobic crankery but after “Why I bomb in premium fighter jets” that feels a bit impossible
AI in GRB results in the same issue as being someone who only bombs in fighters, you don’t advance one bit as you grow in the TT. If you only ever bomb in the MiG-21, you never learn to fight and kill, just like if you hop in the clickbait and APFSDS a bunch of AI. You never learn weakpoints and you never learn combat. You also become a simple little sniping target and are also just a detriment. If you want PvE, go play Assault. AI has no place in GRB unless it’s needed for team balancing (or the dev).
What warthunder really needs is kinda level based MM mixed with SBMM, a really weird mixture that ensures Level 1 premnoob isn’t going up against Level 100 nolife or Level 1 Nolife Smurf. SBMM is a slipper slope too, which is why it needs a newer algorithm, its own algorithm. Games like Cod with their SBMM fail because the algorithm reads immediate stats. WTs algorithm would need to read lifetime statistics, assign a number to the player and matchmake off that. It needs significant testing and refinement, so it would go really well in it’s own test mode (or a silent implementation, read player responses, silently remove it in the next bugfix (like a week or two later) then read player response). Then after that toss it into it’s own event gamemode after notifying the players, leave it up for a week then open a poll for responses and feedback, and just keep refining it
Also, people trying to smurf under this could be reported and then a mod would review, and then give them the CoD treatment and make their guns deal 0 damage and they’re now oneshot, and then their algorithm is raised so they’re going up against significantly better players
Absolutely not. This is really terrible idea.
WT Naval can’t win against Wargaming Naval.
