that was the only way for US, Jap, taiwan, france and others, to kill it somewhat safe(still in danger of Vikhr, gun and 9M39). now they can only try to use gun(die in most of cases due to very accurate 2A42 and vikhr)
that’s a much more modern version of what’s in game and I don’t think it was ever finalised, only the 64E has DIRCM/CIRCM.
As garbage as they are; Hellfires (with thermal optics) at 9.7 is a satanic request.
No they aren’t. They have no optics and R-60Ms really don’t have good seeker or motor range.
Helis like the AH-64 don’t have access to their passive radar jammers either. Seeing a premium Peten die to an R-3R from a MiG-21 ranks as one of the most tragic things I’ve seen.
I guess there’s still a reason to drag a SACLOS SAM into top tier. Kh-38s will still dominate tho, I don’t see the new DIRCM or any of the new SAMs changing that.
The (A)MASE blisters still use the AAQ-24(V), so it’s really the “same” modular suite with a revised configuration.
Apache Modular Aircraft Survivability, AMASE;
Each helicopter has two pods mounted on the stub wings. Each pod holds two chaff/flare magazines and three UV-based missile warning sensors providing 360 deg spherical coverage against incoming threats. Each AMASE pod can host a DIRCM unit, RWR, MWS, and HFI.
It’s still far superior to the ATAS as implemented in game, or the prospective Proximity fused / SALH+IR homing APKWS II variants.
Is there any in service?
Maybe play helicopters? What you said is disingenuous. You would know that when you’re in a ka52 or mi28, the only ranged threat to you other than Saclos missles is IIR Agms.
For planes, Its a common tactic to fire a maverick at a ka52 because IR missles don’t work and doing a gun run is risky. Now that doesn’t work. So now only gun runs can only work. You could fire a ARH missle but it’s hit or a miss.
You would also know that the biggest counter to the ka52s/mi28 were from spikes/pars because they’re undetectable (until the last second), and extremely hard to dodge. So not only you negate this counter, you also completely negate the helicopters that carry these agms.
Fortunately I don’t think this applies to the ka52 but only the Mi28.
Being a contrarian doesn’t make you right.
But it does changes everything tho, Ka52 are insanely strong in term of self-defense against jets and I rely heavily on AGM65’s to kill them for me because IR missiles are useless and going in for gun kill is suicide. Yes I could fly high and attack from top down but then I would be pantsir food. Ka52 is stupidly strong in both offense and defense.
You dont see AH64 at all in both squadron battle or GRB because they are the worst heli in the game due to lack of good munition and defense.
Yes, I’m not absolutely sure of the designation though, between AGR-19, -20, -21 and the Fixed wing and rotary wing variants
god i wish
makes even less sense to be not in game tbh
Kinda funny to think the new spaa being added is going to be a massive buff to helis at top tier since you are less likely to run into saclos launchers that can actually kill you. Pantsir wins again I guess.
Ka-52 is not strong, it’s easily fragged by all top SPAA currently in the game. This has been a fact stated by thousands of others with evidence and cross analysis to back up their statements before myself and still stated to this day.
I don’t get why people want to oppose basic reality so much.
@HondaCivici
2- Gun runs are the most common tactic for planes.
1/3- SACLOS/radar is all the SPAA missiles at 12.0, and those are the biggest counter to Ka-52/50 because of their superior range, and have been for 5 years now.
This is well known facts about War Thunder that experts have been saying for years as well as backed up by data.
I do understand if vehicle feel weaker/stronger to you. Diversity in skill and situations can instill those feelings after all.
Hunter in a Ka-52 and Apache will be better than most players.
I know I suffered countless good players in Ka-50s whose Mk1 eyeball could spot me fairly easily back in 2019 - 2020. They would’ve been even more lethal in Lynx with thermals to enhance their already amazing spotting ability.
Either way AH-64E should finish development and added for USA and other users.
None of which you said addressed any of my points.
it depends on how good the data link for things like IRIS-T/Derby ER are but ultimately being self-guiding will hard counter the things like the Tiger UHT/AH-60/HAD Block II and good luck using laser GBU’s or SAL Brimstones on the Typhoons lmao.

Why should people ignore those lobbying for AH-64E and alleged equipment used by AH-64D?
Do you just oppose adding anything to USA?

I stated AH-64E should come in with its DIRCM and made basic facts about DIRCM in War Thunder being in the game since at least 2023 and SACLOS entirely defeating it because DIRCM doesn’t impact SACLOS and radar systems.
Those were my only positions in this topic. Any opposition to my statements, when those are my statements, is opposition…
I also made zero opposition to DIRCM pod for AH-64D if it exists cause that’s not my lane.
