Netherlands are a German ally. Even with joint command and mixed Ger-NL units. NL uses alot Ger systems etc.
The question would be why France got it. They have nothing in common.
France even got the German Tiger UHT on top. Some nations just get everything, Gajin really gets creative to find reasons to add stuff to certain tech trees. For others obviously not.

Its a UHT they got from Germany for testing purposes, for a couple of months. Was handed back and this airframe is in Germany again. So yes.

its incorrect the HAC has the asgard armor from the UHT and got the later outer pylon missle pods /gun etc. That were added to the UHT only later as well (ignoring how the capability is still missing on the UHT, as well as several weapon options)
Netherlands are not only a German ally, but also a French, Belgian, British, Danish, etc.
For the Benelux as a whole only France and Britain had much in common without any conflicting histories. The German tech tree just isn’t a possibility considering public opinion for anything pre-1980s.
As a whole I personally think having an independent or Folder Benelux tree would be best, but the addition to France was by far one of the least worse options. Certainly better than non-modern Dutch stuff in a German Tech Tree.

No its the worst idea ever. Since other main countries get sub trees for one nation each, FRA just got whole of Benelux added. Whats next? Whole North and Aquatorial Africa for France?
Would have made sense to add Belgium to France, for sure. But thats it. You can’t just everyone of Germany’s recent and historic allies put elsewhere. Spreading the tech around to countries which have no affiliation to it.
We have Switzerland stop your cope. And there’s still so many German Protoypes and programs available.

Some useless jets no one needs. Switzerland is useless and never was a German ally on top. Switzerland cant provide anything useful. No heli, no uparmored MBT from another family. No great jets, nothing useful at lower BRs.
Our Allies were Finland, since WW1, Hungary, Romania,and in recent days very tight cooperations with Netherlands, Denmark, Hungary (again) etc etc.
Everyone of these added elsewhere.
They trialed the 10.7 Abrams btw but Germany DOES NOT need any help in mbts lmao just gajin to add our domestic upgrades and tech demos

The only other logical sub tree I see possible for Germany is Spain or Austria but that’s not needed at all.

Germany has dozens of upgunned and uparmored Leopard versions. If Gajin ever intended to add these, they could have done long ago. Don’t need Switzland for it.
Germany lacks helis, armored top tier MBTs + APS and high pen autocannon speeders. Dunno if Switzerland can provide these. But lets wait.
Solved by Switzerland plus Germany has uparmoured leopards if gajin wants we have quite a few APS tanks possible like 2AV awiss 2a4 Technologieträger 2a7a1 2a8 and more. The Helis are only lacking in top tier but 10.0 range is just because gajin forgot them ig lmao.
Again I kinda think you forgot how big the German industrial industry is and how many options we have when it comes to MBTs and even light tanks and ifvs.
When I check War Thunder, I only see the four Bundeswehr service variants @ tech tree. Not a single one with armor upgrade or one of the upgunned test beds.
Still available to Germany. They’ve never been refused.
I lost hope. Ger is one of the most played nations over the last years. Theorically they should have been added years ago. Just compare this to the plethora of Swedish top tier tanks, T-tanks and Abrams versions. I fear there are ‘reasons’.
