They’ve been giving missiles on aircraft that never integrated them or purchased them for awhile now. My first recollection is the German MiG-29 with R-27ER that Germany never ordered. I think there’s an example even earlier than that.

Sweden cant get AH-64E simply cause they dont have any. Never even trialed it which is how they got AHS and Mi-28A. They dont use attack helicopters, none of the Scandinavian countries do.

Unfortunately, the real issue is that Sweden lacks any actual choice in real life. AHS and mi-28 were all trialed, but no Scandinavian countries actually have any attack helicopters. One of the only possible option is to give the Blackhawk, but if I recall correctly it has been denied. They could also add the Danish Seahawk, which actually fired agm-119 penguins and could use agm-179 in theory. Or give Sweden’s ahs JAGM since manufacturers did claim that any hellfire platform can integrate JAGM with upgrades.

Aim-9J on german phantom too ig, since it only ever operated aim-9b and aim-9L

AIM-9J is listed in the F-4F manual and is selectable on the controls in the F-4F. And there are pictures of the F-4F using AIM-9Js…

Certainly wasn’t made aware during the discourse at the time

Doing a bit more digging I think I got some information mixed up thanks for sharing this info.

The US should have them because the JAGM-MR is at best a system under going testing and hasn’t even been cleared for export.

However with that being said, the devs have an inconsistent standard of what systems get implemented based on “technical compatibility”. The F-15C GE is a prime example of that.

If the devs go straight out of the box compatibility, only the US, British, and Dutch Apaches are compatible with the JAGM missiles as they requires Version 4.5 (bare minimum) or higher.

The Indonesian operations version 4 (maybe early 4.5, but unlikely) and the Taiwanese only operate version 1s. Both of which require hardware/software upgrades in order for them to be compatible to be upgraded to version 6. There has been no sources indicating that they have received any upgrades since it’s procurement.

If helicopters that have yet to be upgraded can use JAGM-MR so can other Apache platforms like Swedish 64A.

This is why the dev’s decision to go with “eh it’s technically compatible if we ignore that upgrades that it must receive” is a dumb idea because all it does it someone to take a look at Gaijin’s prior decisions and point out the double standard.

Edit: Visit this F-15C Golden Eagle should be able to hold more missiles

To understand more about the double standard

War Thunder has never once operated on arbitrary rules like national purchases of weapons, nor should it.

Manufacturer information is all that matters, and is far more realistic. Weapons only get added on vehicles that can use them, not based on purchases.

Gaijin’s consistent standards won’t change.

free abrams and ah64e+agm179 for everyone

What Swedish AH-64E? Am I missing something?

once again, NOBODY bought the missile we have in game NOBODY

the missile we have in game isnot AGM-179. What we have is fantasy missile called JAGM-MR that might or might not exist as the only claims are its manufacturer

I was thinking about some F-104, although I don’t remember the variant exactly.

Hey. Sweden has not even trailed an AH-64E. Which is the version integrated with JAGM. So unfortunately its not possible to provide Sweden with this.

Sweden has the AHS, which is an AH-64A trailed by Sweden. Unfortunately this is not close or remotely compatible with the E.
