AH-64D with Spikes

youd be able to do this with lobl too against moving targets or targets within 2.5km
and if loal was taken away you couldn’t engage stationary targets farther than 2.5km at all
however if they’re forced to use the camera to transmit the guidance data to the missile they wouldn’t be able to shoot 16 missiles in 2 seconds which id support

As far as I am aware. Brimstones would not be limited to such short distances. Their onboard guidance would get them pretty close without issue.

yes sure but wasn’t the topic about the 114L
I agree brimstone mmw also shouldn’t be such a spam

The core problem is the same for both. MMW. Whatever solution is done for JAGM / AGM-114Ls for the Apache would apply to Brimstones too.

in a generalized sense however the restriction would have a real life alternative for apache which would also easily allow fine tuning balance and exposure times against hostiles in apache and while the brimstones should in practice be restricted in the same sense of not being able to spam missiles against radar targets, not sure what their alternative would be

Are nukes not OP?

special use case such as nuke is fine
i was talking about typical vehicles

I don’t really care I don’t think 114Ls should come atleast yet. But if you want to say SP cost can’t be used to balance you can’t be for nukes. Especially with the amount of power it has to end the game even as your team is about to lose.

Yeah OP system

nuke in a sense is op however when we are talking about normal vehicles, the spawnpoint system should be for balancing non op vehicles instead of making op vehicles into something like a nuke
however that would be an another argument whether the apache with hellfires should be similar to a nuke or not (as op vehicle)
my take is no, yours can be whatever
if you say yes i doubt youll find any support for it from gaijin or playerbase

While I won’t say it is on the level of a nuke I would say it is up there. 1500 SP maybe 2000 SP to spawn sounds reasonable.

ok. personally i won’t support adding normal op vehicles that are paid for by sp points that arent a special case like a nuke is
anyway.

Gaijin has already shown SP is a part of balancing normal vehicles load outs. most recent example the KH38s having their SP increased.

yes.
quibble? nitpicking?

No such thing. It has always been a thing. That is just he most recent of SP changes. Ground ordnance had it’s SP increased for Laser weapons a while back then so on. SP is a normal balancing part for vehicle weapons.

what i was saying is youre quibbling. i never argued against sp being part of balancing normal vehicles loadouts which seems to be part of your strawman argument
i simply said that op vehicles shouldnt be added and then let people access them with sp
they should be added as non op and then for their balancing the sp should be used
this was based on what i originally replied which was buried under your pointless derailing and quibbling
regardless, we should switch the topic back to the apache now that this has been cleared out

OP according to you*

MMW Apache would be fine with chaff/smoke grenades

No there is no strawman as much as you would like for me to have. I said.

then you said.

So you are fine with OP systems such as Nukes which will end the game but you are not fine with other systems. You are showing a two tier system for these things. I am saying it’s a double edge sword. You can’t be well this is ok but then go F that.

except it wasn’t about adding them with chaff grenades (and aps. you can’t expect tanks to spot apache firing missiles from behind cover at 7km range). it was about adding them now without these and then increasing sp cost to make a difference in accessibility of the op vehicle

yes im fine with the nuke being an “Op system” which is a special case and not fine with normal vehicles being op

false equivalency
also you trying to derail the topic hard
