AH-1Z need AGM-179

The AGM-114 missile, as a top-tier helicopter missile, is evidently becoming outdated. The AGM-114L cannot be included due to game balance reasons, so the game could certainly introduce the AGM-179, which uses infrared imaging guidance, to compensate for the lack of fire-and-forget ATGMs for American helicopters.
Especially with the latest version on the test server, where the Su-34 has been equipped with UMPK satellite-guided bombs. Since the Su-34 is receiving a new type of ammunition that will only enter service in 2024, there is clearly no reason why the AGM-179 missile, also set to be in service in 2024, cannot be added to the U.S. helicopter arsenal.

he also might be talking about JAGM-MR, which has NIR(?)

The JAGM-MR would be a suitable candidate as it’s a unique agm (for now) and can give struggling US helis a major boost. I think it also has multi-purpose warhead would could be used against air targets but I could be wrong.

Though the biggest issue that many will be against is the range and quantity. the JAGM-MR has a range of 16km. It’s pretty much double than what the rest of the nations has. The viper and the apache can carry 16 of them. That would be insanely broken and would make all SPAA systems nearly useless. The only one that can put up a fight is the pantsir but it can be overwhelmed.

For the longest time the KA52 was the best and still is to this day. Even after the vikhr nerfs, it is still the best LOS agm. Either reduce the BRs of the apache/viper or give it weaponry where it can worthy of being called 12.0.

This is not a problem. Alternatively, Gaijin could easily provide only the infrared guidance capability of the AGM-179,or allow the AGM-179 to switch between laser and infrared guidance modes, without providing its active radar guidance capability.Gaijin has a precedent in this area. The Brimstone missile with multi-mode guidance in the game offers laser guidance. The GB250 bomb also only offered laser guidance mode before GNSS was added to the game.

GB250 is only ‘guided bomb 250kg’, which is generically all the Chinese 250kg guided ammunitions, the one in game doesn’t actually have GNSS, later GB250 is capable, but the in game version is actually gen 2 LGB. I believe it is LT series in game.
Still, the Brimstone point stands, AGM179 could be added, except the fact that if added, the stats will be pretty wild cause it is an extremely recent weapon, and if modelled inaccurately, it is almost impossible to get fixed. It could be both OP and underwhelming.
