AH-1Z and aim-9x

Welp I tried I guess the devs don’t want to add it right now to the ah1z (DEV) Ah1z should have Aim-9X // Gaijin.net // Issues

they just want US helis to suffer

‘‘dev’’ lets add 5gen msl but only for spaa

Idk, i manage to kill many planes with stingers, actually many manpads have much better range than aim-9 launched at 0kph, Aim-9 are good only if you launch them from 100+ kph and you only have 2 of them, so Aim-9X wouldnt even be that dangerous bc they have less range than TY-90 or maybe same at max. It really wont change much.

Photo of Aim-9X for you

in a vacuum? no, but in practice you get 2 aim9ms which have worse irccm.

and worse range

true that, i forgot aim9m fired from stationary dont have much range

aim9m right now also has wrong range it should be more than 9L not same

  • No 9X for Viper
  • Z-10s but with no new ordnance, old one gets bricked by removing it’s warning systems
  • New SPAA that still can’t really touch Kh-38 slingers

patch is giving me clinical depression

So, let me get this right. We get new spaa that can kill every CAS plane besides the Kh-38MTs carriers?
No new ordnance for the helis that are already useless(American helis)
No aircraft? Not even the A-6E? Pretty dissapointing if you ask me

you forgot that they made the top tier russian helis immune to even more types of missiles including all the new AA

So far on the dev server, the AIM-9X looks pretty good on the SLAMRAAM platform.

(not my video)

However, it is still missing the smokeless mortar, and hasn’t been able to test it against actual countermeasure-deploying targets yet to compare if it has its supposed improved IIRCCM seeker to the AIM-9M’s IRCCM.

Uses FoV Narrowing + Seeker Shutoff according to datamines so yeah, it’s improved over 9M.

However still not immune to those totally balanced DIRCM modules on the KA52 and MI-28NM

Ka-52 doesn’t have DIRCM

It does, but it’s not the same one as on the Mi-28NM (or Mi-8AMTSh-VN).

It can still deter things like stingers, but not IIR missiles.

Well if i not mistaken DIRCM uses laser beam to blind seeker, IRCM uses infrared beam to blind seeker and that one on Ka-52 uses infrared beam.

No idea what it uses, but the KA52 (and MI-28NM when it was enabled) are immune to IR AAMs or SAMs .
Also sadly the 9X seeker seems to be just a seeker shutoff + fov clamp combo , not IIR.

It’s still a mystery to me as to how exactly it’s supposed to impact the later stinger’s guidance since it uses a Dual band IR / UV seeker, since it’s not a UV laser so that channel should be completely non-impacted.
