Surprised the 1997 NATOPS Manual was report viable; it also has instructions regarding the 1Ws Voice Warning System (edit: nvm it was just a passing reference I think)
I’m fairly certain it has HIRSS, it just hasn’t been modelled with the later diverted exhausts.
Thanks for sharing this thread. I really hope the US one gets the attention it deserves. It seems like they initially made the model for the Taiwanese version, and copied it over to the US tree (with some minor visual differences)

Not sure why you would have that impression, both are representative of a late '90s fit afaik
Right now my biggest issue with it is the Flight model, it handles worse than an Mi-8 with a full fuel and bombload

This is what the Marines were running with in the late 90s, this photo is from 1997:
No AN/AAR-47, no formation strips, no HIRSS, x60 count CM pods. And that’s just from what I can see. I’m not a big-time bug reporter or anything, but this is just what I’m observing.
The developers gave us some kind of Gulf War-Iraq War-Afghanistan fusion, with a configuration spanning many years.
All I’m saying is either way, it’d have to be visually re-modeled for it to look historically accurate for any of these timeframes.

the earlier exhausts are just more characteristic of the 1W
