Haven’t played helis in some time, but because of the pattle pass challenge I’ve played a few high tier ground realistic games. What have they done to agm’s? Back in the day I could do 1-3 kills with a heli. Now it’s: starting missile, hitting, barely any damage, getting shot down with mgs…
How do people even unlock helis today (without premiums)? They are near pointless.
Even pars3 need 4-5 missiles for a single tank now…
On the other hand my puma got barely scratched by an APFSDS… explodes.
It seems they use the WW2 heat model for all heat based weapons now.
I really thought that quick challenge will take an hour. Now I’m 7 hours in and got 5 kills till now…
I wouldn’t mind helis getting buffed. They’re in a very sorry state compared to fixed wing, even though to get fixed wing CAS you need to play air modes.
Especially because GRB is pretty much the only somewhat viable mode for them.

Spike heli and ground version are both suck
both of them supposed to be lethal you can clearly see different damage output between Hellfire and PARS3.
Are you kidding me? I’m playing enough Puma and Begleitpanzer to know how pointless helis are against such stuff. Especially if you play things with 3km range agms. Spare me this elitism. “Good” players simply don’t play stuff that isn’t meta. Can’t even remember last time I got killed by a KA50, because nobody plays it anymore.
Edited my comment up there. Yeah, if you play a KA50. I’m talking about 3-4km range missiles. Light tanks with 20mm+ autocannons eat helis at 5km easily.
It wouldn’t be as bad if a missile would kill a tank, like in the past, but since it doesn’t even do much damage anymore, you only show your position and that’s it. And because they nerfed the heli zoom to the ground too, you can’t really aim for ammo racks either.
