Agm-179MR way slower in dev server than irl

Which is funny because the TY-90s control surfaces are ever so slightly bigger than the FIM-92’s.

And the Ty90 weighs 22kg vs the ATAS at 10kg, the math doesn’t math

heres a video of JAGM impact someone posted on a different thread that shows a significantly higher angle of impact

probably cant be used as a sole source but might be able to support a bug report on lofting
I also found this
https://www.military.com/video/guided-missiles/air-to-surface/firing-the-jagm-missile/1512978262001
which might be good enough because it also shows launch conditions

Oh ok 👍🏻

I love this forum so much for moments like this. 3 different groups talking abt the same topic mixing back and forth. XD

Probably not. It does lose some raw penetration, in favor of a more effective multi-purpose warhead (despite this making it less effective against light vehicles in-game… Curious)

Why did we even get this then if the damage is just crap, longbows should’ve been added instead

yeah but they couldnt make the longbow damage crap

also they dont want to add other MMW weapons everyone should get

Any examples of other mmw missiles?

Brimstone series, GBU-53, JAGM-F

Thanks

Yeah the agm-179MR should have mmw but mmw is to op rn and then they would have to give it to brimstones, like mmw can literally guid the missile through smoke

Which is a simple enough convention to deal with. The US developed multi-spectral smoke decades ago. It would be as simple as saying above X BR all smokes are multi-spectral and then modelling MMW munitions exactly the same as they currently model IIR systems.

But then every nation except a “certain nation” would have gotten AGM-114Ls and they wouldn’t be the only ones with a proximity fused helicopter ATGM anymore.

Vikhrs can guide through smoke too.

Yeah but you get what i mean, like fnf through smoke like they see the target

Yeah it would be OP, but i remember when russian mains tried to make KH38MT to not look gamebreaking by saying “Muh, just hide behind a building”, but anyways AGM-114Ls would’ve been a more suitable option honestly, also does the DIRCM on the Guardian prevents BUK missile to not hit it?

Didn’t actually know that smoke like that existed

I have no idea to be honest
