I’m late to the dogpile, since everyone else already corrected you I shall just provide the line -
Lmao
Nah its more that Chinese players are lashing out at folks being happy about the JAGM-MR because the CM502KG works like a griffin missile, which is how it should because it is a equivalent.
They cant handle the fact that the missile that was designed to kill soft targets and unarmored to lightly armored vehicles cant kill MBTs so they are going to the posts with the missile designed for such and saying its unrealistic.
Any NATO MANPADS for that matter, but besides the point sadly.
Yep, its a KH-38MT like.
Again though, this is a issue of expectations on the side of the Chinese community here, the CM502KG is not a ATGM, it is not designed to kill tanks, such is well known, they need to stop gaslighting themselves into thinking such. The CM502KG preforms as it should for it’s weight class and use case, ask for actual ATGMs if you want them, the CM502KG is not one of those missiles.
At minimum without documenation of the the mach 1.5 floating on the web, the speed of the AGM179 should be equivalent to the Hellfire at 450m/s which is 110m/s faster than in the dev server. Other than changes in the hellfire booster which can be in the form of chemical changes in the propellant or a different nozzle design, we can safely say 450m/s is without argument the minimum the speed of the 179.
anyone have sources or feel up to making a report about JAGMs flight profile
from everything Ive seen it should have roughly the same profile as a hellfire IRL and in game it is a copy of gaijins messed up hellfire flight profile
maybe just arguing that it should loft more based on the accepted hellfire flight profile report?
I was just thinking, we know the standard JAGM uses the AGM-114R block 0 booster. There is an ER version of the 114R called the AGM-114R-4 which has a range of 21 miles. It wouldn’t be unheard of for them to use the R-4 booster for the JAGM MR
Not a valid source but interesting.
" Meanwhile, a separate effort involving JAGM’s Hellfire progenitor has also worked at drastically increasing the missiles range, especially in an air-launched format. This was a modified AGM-114R-4 version of the Hellfire that was launched from an MQ-9 Reaper drone during a test last year, something you can read more about here. It is claimed that the AGM-114R-4 can fly roughly three times as far as earlier variants of the missile, which would suggest similar enhancements, or at least similar goals in regards to enhancements, as those found on JAGM-MR."
Before starting to report , i think we should first obtain some data.
Can anyone get on dev with the AH-64E , and fire JAGM-MRs at different targets?
Something like 4km - 8km - 12km -16km , along with 4-5 screenshots of the speed at different stages of flight.
