AGM-114 Hellfire - Badly underperforming?

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/WywE38Qaa53f
The devs claim that the warhead is 2.76kg + 1kg precursor

This report is also inaccurate, because it takes into account only the explosives of the main charge, and there is also a precursor to ensure tandem.

But the precharge according to my data should be 0.5 kg, but alas, the source, although convincing due to the detailed description of various JAGM systems, is not a source for Gaijin.

Russian translation says 2.76kg + tandem 1kg

Yes, I have already added this to my previous post.

[DEV] JAGM-MR использует неверный паттерн образования осколков

Supposedly the JAGM has such trash damage because Gaijin devs decided to not give it the AGM-114K’s spalling patterns because it’s not 170mm of diameter. The problem with this response is that both the AGM-114K and JAGM-MR have the exact same diameter and Gaijin is basing this claim on the Warhead diameter of the JAGM which is 143mm but the post detailing spalling patterns only specifies the missile’s diameter needs to be 170mm. Someone needs to make a report on this fallacy

Someone needs to tell the bug reporters that they made an error on this

Okay report is up:

definitely worth re making the report, they still havent given any actual reasoning

It seems so weird that it can even be rejected, without a reason provided. You’d think that there would be grounds for making said decision.

I think manager 2 denied it without any reason, so manager 1 just said will tell you later

but yeah, absolutely no reason for it to be denied

I asked Gunjob after a week and said nothing had been appended to the ticket yet, so they don’t know.

But it should happen at some point.

Seems like an odd edge case though.

if there is no reason why dont they change it back to accepted

do you have any guesses on why it might’ve been denied? Maybe for balance reasons? Or do you think HOB sensors on the JAGM or hellfires weren’t meant to act as proxy fuses for planes?

99.9% this.

Ah I see that does make sense. As a counter claim, would it be fair to say that this source says the JAGM is capable of using it’s MMW to guide itself to low flying aircraft and it does not say that it uses it’s MMW as a “proxy”?

Of course one could say that it’s implied that it uses MMW as a proxy but I think it can also be implied the HOB can also be used as a proxy.

I came across this article (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8059130/keywords#keywords). Yes the HOB sensor is mainly used for ground targets however with modifications it can also be used against moving targets which could imply low flying aircraft. I wouldn’t be surprised if the US defense industry hasn’t been already testing on this.

But as a Counter counter-claim, what would be the point of having two systems when one can do both.

I have one source about JAGM mmW seeker as HOB sensor, but it very… uh… Unreliable.

umm, isnt that pretty much exactly how the M908 tank shell works in game?

and yet apparently gaijin cant do it because it would fix JAGM damage on soft targets.

and still nothing on this
Community Bug Reporting System

at this point if they dont even know why it was denied, report should be re accepted and manager that said not a bug should be put on probation or something

“not a bug”
heh typical of for those Incompetent
start to feel like any attempt is waste of time (maybe not start it been like that for years)
