AGM-114 Hellfire - Badly underperforming?

of course not

The irony is how EASY it would be to fix the hellfire, idk abt the spike but ALL hellfires loft the same.

I know, they just need to double or triple the target elevation stat

but no they just ignore it instead

ah yes, “critical hit”

thats a 114K, absolutely should not do that shit of damage

If you’ve got the Shot .BLK file It’s potentially worth a report; considering the changes to Overpressure.

War Thunder “Tusk Force” - Changelog

  • The damage radius of shockwaves (overpressure) affecting crew members has been recalculated. Previously, the radius was calculated using a simplified model (for explosions on a non-destructible surfaces), which resulted in them being overestimated.

The overpressure changes are probably a bit overzealous for high filler weapons, I’ve seen M108 (203mm HE) hit the UFP of a Leopard 40mm SPAA and do literally nothing. Yeeeah.

how can they even claim to not be biased when they do stuff like this

of course similar reports such as for AASM get accepted

this is why they should not be anonymous, so we can ping them until they actually tell us why

Yknow i actually had my hopes up for a few weeks there since it got accepted at first…

@tripod2008 honestly it might be worth remaking that bug report for the live server

I’ll wait until I get a response, as it would assist with reconstituting the report. Could always point out that the Vikhr has a proximity fuse.

Sadly there is no public available “reliable” source for the JAGM to have the proximity fuse.
so we have to figure out how to prove it, i have some non-shareable sources on this so i cant use it.

Well, we know it should have (optional) HOBS functionality. I do think it would be interesting to know if there is anything on the Vikhr’s fusing set up, as from what I’ve seen of DCS should be fairly similar.

VIkhr fuse is a separate element in the nose cone.

HOBS and proximity fusing functions in JAGM are implemented by detonating when it reaches specific coordinates relative to the MMW tracked target, or if there is no trackable target - using its MMW seeker as an altimeter.

All that can be extrapolated is the AGM-114L-7 without additional sensors for the PF, the C-UAS designation in the JAGM documentation, and the Patriot, where the seeker also functions as a target sensor. The Aster 30 in the game already has the same feature… And ofc artillery shells which for some reason we use vs air targets.

Also, this report should be closed like “not a bug” too.

I think a new report would either get accepted or a decent chance that it would at least let you know why it was denied

I wouldnt hold out for you to actually get a response

Can’t link it for some reason but here is a pic of a good bug report too

No problem, here is your link for anyone that doesn’t want to search for this bug report,
