Gonna have to bust out Ofekk213’s wonderful Concept Tree again :
Isreal has more than enough unique, potential additions to justify it’s place as an independent tech tree.
Problem is, snail is just allergic to adding any of it. And the rare times they do, they botch the living daylights out of it (See Namer, Sholef & Merkava’s). Things like Spyder, HVSD/ADAMS, Eitan, Pereh, Hafiz etc would all be absolute W additions, but they take more effort than just slapping a new composite / ERA pack on a Magach for the… 15th? 16th? time lol.
That’s not to say i don’t want all the Magachs / Tirans etc, i do, but… Unique and more importantly needed stuff should be first priority. The entire tree has a chronic shortage of auxiliaries - and unique things exist to fill those gaps.
But back to the topic of this thread, Just about every Israeli ‘Main’ i’ve seen this past year, has been near unanimous in their belief that a top AA should be our number 1 priority addition. How the snail has failed this for five major updates, and we go into 2025, still with Machbet as our best system… It feels so far beyond unfair that i’m at a loss for words.
We seen so much uproar a few years ago when Japan was stuck with Type-93. Snail even went out of their way in a Q&A to specifically acknowledge it, and promise something better was coming. Yet us, today, years after the fact - when CAS at top tier is infinitely more powerful than it was then, stuck with a system EVEN WORSE than Type-93… and they just ghost our pleas for something better. By now my frustration has subsided into despondence.
It’s a depressing state of affairs, when Namer’s Spikes are unironically the most useful SAM’s in the tech tree.
I am trying to bring some attention to the Chaparral (Drakon) and its poor state right now.
I made this thread to collect the more important bug reports and problems.
If anyone feels like commenting it would be appreciated.
They need to do something, top tier is nearly dead with less than half full matches, not caused by the ground vehicles but getting constantly killed by some plane that we can’t even see, it has become to easy for cas players to dominate the game, a little fox 3 action should help balance it out.
The only Copy-paste vehicles in the Israeli Ground Tech Tree are the Magach 1, Magach 2, AMX-13, AML-90, M109, Rochev, ZSU-57-2, Magach 6, Tiran 4, Tiran 6, Hovet, ZSU-23-4, and Giraf.
The Sho’t is unique to the Israeli tree. It is a Centurion Mk.5 and not found anywhere else.
Out of 41 Ground Tech Tree vehicles, only 13 are copied and pasted. Despite being a lazy nation because Gaijin won’t get off their ass, it is not remotely as bad as China was and still is. China has 65 tech tree ground vehicles available. Out of that 65, 31 are entirely copied and pasted. That’s half. That does not include premiums, which would make it worse.
Keep in mind, Israel starts at rank 4. China does not.
u consider cp wrong dude all the magachs til gal batash are copy pasted they feel the same and act the same also shot idk m5 or not its a basic centurion also machbet and chapparal are half cp
its not that i have problem with it i kinda like playing soviet brit amrica mixed but its a fact that a lot of the tanks and planes are cp
The worse engine is on other m60 hulls in the game and 50 cal here and nvd there doesnt make very much diffrence
Also the vulcan is on the american counterpart isnt it?
Its a lazy work of the developers and the saddest thing is that almost the entire merkava line has wrong armor and missing some rounds like the lahat
All Israeli M60’s outside the Magach 6 are entirely unique to Israel. The only one that isn’t outside of the Magach 6 is the 6A, which is only found in Italy as a Premium.
To you, are the T-54 (1947) and T-54 (1949/51) copy and paste? The Sho’t is an entirely different centurion than the Centurion Mk.3. They play similarly, but they’re not the same tank.
The Vulcan, while American, does not make a vehicle copy-and-paste. If a vehicle having the gun of another nation made it copy-and-paste, regardless of modification, that would make the Abrams a copy-and-paste of the Leopards. They’re not.
The Hovet is a C&P of the M163, but the Machbet is a Super Vulcan, which is not found in-game anywhere else.
While that may be true, you’re certainly not one to talk about that after you stated the Germans designed the Merkava tank with 0 evidence.
what exacly is is uniqe about them? same hull same gun same everything
in game there is no diffrence
yes the hovet is a cp thats what im saying and the machbet is like half cp it has the same hull and stingers about the super vulan i didnt know thats a diffrent version
i said im pretty sure cuz i remmebers i read it somewhere that israel tal did go to germany and the us to take some notes for the merkava design and btw the merkava engine is from germany so it make sanse
Super Vulcan is the commercial name given by IAI, Machbet it the name given to it by the IDF once they adopted it.
The Machbet uses the same engine and hull, but the main changes and innovations are in the FCS, optics, navigation and armament.
The radar has been replaced by a FLIR sensor and day camera. The tracking and firing solution is accomplished with digital tracking (TV tracking) and a laser rangefinder. The FCS is a digital computer powered by an Intel processor. The Machbet also has a GPS system and IFF system.
The main addition to the armament is a pod with 4 Stingers, to engage distant targets.
Explosive Reactive Armor, M111, Engine differences, some have composite. The list goes on man. Hell, one even has a pair of Hydra pods on it…
The 50 cal makes a massive difference. It seems small, but it can keep you from firing the main gun at the lighter targets when dealing with multiple enemies.
What is the functional difference between the Centurion 5/1 and Mk.3? You’re not complaining about that vehicle despite its having the exact same differences as the Israeli one.
Who cares. It’s an Anti-Air.
Not remotely. The Machbet has thermals, stingers, and a completely different radar. It is nothing like the American M163.
If a vehicle’s based on another vehicle makes it a copy-and-paste, then the T-62 would be a copy-and-paste of the T-44 to you. That is stupid.
Once again, No. That’s misinformation. The Merkava is a homebrewed vehicle designed independently by Israel.
Also, the Engine in the Merkava Mk.1 is a Continental. That’s American.
As i said more era doesnt make a diffrance especially against apfsds brs and all have the same 750 engine exept the gal batash and the 7c
The hydra is cool i give u that but the rest feel the same
I care and its cp
Thats why i said half cp it has the same hull same gun just slap stingers and thermals
And i didnt notice to any diffrences in the radar but ok
You can belive me or not idc point is gaijin makes israel lazy work nation and its sad cuz israel has some very cool stuff and even the good stuff like merkavas and namer they messed up
ERA does make a difference at 8.0 and above. Most people sling HEAT-FS at those BRs constantly and those who don’t have their damage reduced by the ERA.
And once again, the Gal Batash and 7C are among those M60 tanks you stated were “Copy and Paste”.
Then you haven’t played them.
Then go cry somewhere else. This is a Top Tier SPAA thread.
That’s not how copy and paste works.
You don’t know enough about these vehicles.
All nations have been getting this lazy treatment for the last year or more. If Gaijin can’t properly model the RDF/LT, then they aren’t going to take the time to properly model any less important nation’s vehicles.
