i know this is too much asking but, are planing to make a test for it ?
not only would that help to understand and test the gameplay and even change something.
we have everything in the game already except super long range sam ( only buk and astra )

I wont be making a test mode sadly, for few months there are some other things to focus for me irl, not to mention i have 0 experience in making custom missions (from the coding pov).
But i would really like if some other person models this, or gaijin incorporates some ideas from this post and then tests their mode.
i am trying to find one that i wanted to try. just give me min
I really want to play with them :(. Besides that i really support this idea. Though earning rewards could be an issue
Yuh, just look at the sloppy “useful actions” mechanic in sim mode, literally encouraging passive gameplay. Making rewards worse could make the other roles a bit dull to do…
Fair. But why don’t you make it a suggestion?
Because there might be some oversights in the post which i want to clear up first,
for eg. As a user above said, gameplay might become slow paced. The “first spawn in main airfield” would make players who just want to get in action frustruated, so that is something i will remove soon.
There might be a couple more stuff i missed so waiting for that
(Also still trying to find the maps actual file, i made it on a older computer)
found it but i realise it a old type of maps where is not new to the current power .
I think this is a great suggestion.
Even though I’m flying a modern multirole aircraft, it’s sad that once the A2A combat is over, the match ends before I have a chance to try out the A2G weapons.
In some cases,I think it’s worth considering a scaled-down variation that keeps this system in place.
(For example, simply reducing the number of players, limiting respawns to make each match shorter, etc.)
This suggestion is probably the longest I’ve ever seen, and pretty well designed too. I think a significant part of this would be possible to make, but the complexity as a whole is infeasible. It would arguably be the single most realistic/comprehensive mode in existence, far exceeding competitors like DCS in overall detail. But Gaijin as it is currently is unable to make something half this good, just look at the state of Sim and Heli PVE.
A couple thoughts:
Hmm i will look into it, for strike aircrafts, maybe we can have some naval boats in the center.
Regarding time, i am assuming 3 to 4 hours because thats how long Sim matches go, i am not sure if gaijin will incorporate longer matches
As for balance, the performance of SAM can be adjusted too, but it will require some testing.
Unpopular idea, how about realistic weather that won’t be like clouds in game (not client side) but would be same for all
What would non-US equivalents to this be?
Mig31 has one afaik
Sams also have asat missile, so satellites will go down after a set amount of time in space
Gotcha, well in that case you can just make it work like a nuke.
Western sides get an F-15, Eastern sides get MiG-31.
Doesn’t mig31 use the r33 to shots satellite?
I know it got the missile.
Hmm could work
To add, to guide a fox 3 via awacs, that missile needs to also have 2 way datalink, so aim120a/b/c variants cant be guided via awacs, but aim120d series will be (not sure about c8)
Here are some more things I think can be added:
I think more can be done with bases and base-like targets. I was thinking like Tim’s Variety War Thunder’s suggestions. This allows for strategic bombing and bombers (which can carry cruise missiles later on), separating them from tactical bombing and strike aircraft. Destroying strategic targets would negatively affect ground targets say by making it take longer to reload SAMs since the ammo depot has just exploded.
Counters to bombers would point-defense and interceptor aircraft. As someone said with Swedish road takeoffs, these planes could use crude dirt airstrips close to the frontline with very limited repair, refuel, and rearm capability.
To aid in these interceptions, GCI stations and air surveillance radars are dotted around the map and would work to guide the plane. Other systems like GCI piloting of the plane could be added. These systems would benefit from the addition of datalink and hopefully correct datalink displays.
Datalink would be added if the plane had it and with realistic limitations, i.e. the original MiG-29 only has GCI-to-plane datalink while the SU-27S can communicate between planes and GCI.
To add to recon—assuming it’s camera only—ELINT pods and aircraft could detect undiscovered SAMs/radars and their location by analyzing where the signal came from and what the signal is (I think that’s how ELINT works).
Since the main airfield is bigger than the frontline airfields, it should be able to do more or the frontlines have more limited capabilities. If you have too much damage, the frontline doesn’t have the equipment to repair you or cruise missiles are only stored at the main airfield.
