Advancements in new matherials: Roadwheelium (TM)

I’ve been keeping an eye on this for a while, and I’ve come to a conclussion that Gaijin has discovered a new armor matherial, Roadwheeelium™. Roadwheelium™ will effectively block a APFSDS sabot with up to 615 mm of penetrating power with just the 20 mm thickness of a tank’s roadwheel. Will also deter all effects from every known HEAT warhead and looks like an interesting addition to the already discovered Fronttrackium™, the matherial which allows the front of a caterpillar track to deter every APFSDS round known to man without as much as breaking a linkage.

Since War Thunder has established the existence of Maingunium™, a matherial known to self-destruct by sneezing in its general direction, I suggest that future tank developments use roadwheel matherial for the guns and ditch all those silly composite armors which will get pierced through from roughly every direction.

Now seriously… How in heavens can a roadwheel “non penetration” to an APFSDS at nearly 90º? And not once or twice, but every.single.time. and even several.rounds.in.a.row (Strvg 103C vs T-62, taking potshots in 3rd person view)

Also, how comes you can shoot the front of a track and it won’t even sweat after being hit by a tungsten rod at 2300 m/s? At that velocity, the linkage of that track should be history even if hit by a mud pellet…

Did I miss memo and now tracks are invulnerable by design?

Actually, this phenomena only seems to apply to tanks from every non-Russian nation. Maybe we need to replace maingunium with Russiangunsteelium seeing as it can effectively tank a 155mm HE round placed right inside it!

For real though, Gaijin really needs to rework their armor stats. There is no reason road wheels should be stopping APFSDS, and there is no reason Russian guns (btw it’s only really an issue at lower tiers) should be able to tank any round with just a “hit” while most other guns will just explode at the site of a 7.92mm round
