Adding Structural Damage due to use of the cobra button for Realism

are you talking about the Limited G like 7.5/9G standard? because that isn’t the failure limit, Gaijin just goes for a flat 1.5x to that for the actual structural limit in game so save arguements

Ohhh 1.5x and no I was talking about critical G as in stuff breaks G.

But if they did 1.5x for the games sake that’s fair.

yeah, because the 7.5/9G is the limit self imposed to safe for excessive wear, the true structural limits are unknown so gaijin just uses that and adds 150% and thats the G rip limit, so for 7.5G thats 11.2G, or 9G 13.5G
though gaijin might change that from time to time based on limits found to be safe IRL, cause i remember someone talking about the Hornet being good till around 9.4G instead of 7.5G, which would give it 14.1G structural limit, but who knows

Yes the critical G and G limits are different though.

Manuals give safe fatigue G for X airframe service life. (7.8 in AV-8A manual)

While critical G is the G at which airframe damage or critical failure is likely to occur. (11.7 G for Harrier 1 for example)

yeah, but gaijin (for the sake of avoiding debate) just uses the Fatigue G limit in the manual and times it by 1.5x usually,

there may be an exception or two but i’m unsure
