since we got a new gamemode which is very fun but communcation is lacking i think we should get proxmity chat

Lol people mass flagging my post above for giving out a couple of mild and censored examples of the sort of things you would be finding in the game’s voice chat…
I think my point was proven, then. People wouldn’t use voice chat to turn into tactical ranger commandos; they would only use it to troll, grief, insult and scream.
EDIT: aaaand it happened again. Well, if you flagged my post, believe me, you DO NOT want Voice Chat.

umm no -1 only for squads
so many toxic players to be honest and insults and politics !
i tried VC in public discord server was disaster the amount insulted and clean the dishes that’s my experience in last 9 years in wt but other have different experiences!
now imagine normal VC in wt XD
Squad VC is better but need a rework !
i had better time playing with squads but VC squad is buggy sometime it works and sometimes it does not !
maybe add search public squad option with VC only with squads !

Just use discord. Both PC and console players can freely communicate there.

In general, I don’t know why people expect some cool and coordinated tactical conversation from VC.
Aren’t people familiar enough with gamers, specially War Thunder’s, to know that VC would be mostly a cesspool of toxicity and trolling?

Half the time you’re hiding in buildings or taking cover from suppressive fire anyway. Plenty of time to type unless you take 3 decades to type out a sentence.

Voice chat in WT (or any other F2P game) is only a road to learn all the kinds of insults of the world. Great for vocabulary, useless for team play… :)
And that pretty much sums up why do not have it and are not likely to get it . . . just saying
There is no world where I’d want to mic up with the average War Thunder player.
The text chat is vile enough.
The SLP (Slurs per minute) rate would be crazy.
