We already have the LAV-AD in the game, which uses the same base vehicle and its been in the game since 9 March 2022, 3 years ago. Adding the regular LAV-25 shouldn’t be too hard now. It’s a well known vehicle, used for decades by the US Marine Corps, and would be a great addition to the American tech tree.
The War Thunder has shown interest in the LAV-25. A proposal for the LAV-25A2 variant was submitted and passed to the developers for consideration awhile ago LAV-25A2: Backbone of the USMC
The community wants it. The model base already exists. There’s no reason to wait any longer it’s time for the LAV-25 to be added to War Thunder.
It won’t be the greatest vehicle ever (unless we get a version with TOW missiles), but it’d be a ton of fun. The suggestions are already made.
+1 to show enthusiasm for this iconic USMC vehicle.
At the same time, I’d like to support the introduction of some variation of the Humvee to the US tree. There isn’t one single OG real Humvee in this game yet. Gimme avenger, give me one with a TOW missile, give me one with a Mk19.
Higher tier War Thunder feels significantly more alive with lighter vehicles than MBTs around.
That’s a Desert Warrior turret on a LAV-25 hull (not LAV III or Stryker) I can’t recall seeing this config before. Can’t find a suggestion post for it either.
Its actually the other way around. The Desert Warrior got the turret from the LAV-25. The turret was originally a proposal made and tested on the US Marine LAV-25 before it was thrown to the side where it eventually ended up on the Warrior
I completely agree with this. I believe that the LAV-25 would be great in the American tech tree.
Also to complement this Gaijin could also add the New Zealand NZLAV and the Australian ASLAV. Both of which are extremely similar to the LAV-25, and they would be a great addition to the British tech tree.
