The new change to the SP cost of CAS is simply to reduce the chance of respawning 2 CAS planes, but it hasn’t considered that there are multiple choice loadouts for planes to replace. if only just limit any kind of CAS loadouts by respawn 2nd time, then when we add HARM in the future, the pilots will suffer decision fatigue.
The new SP cost of CAS’s basic idea is limit to KH38 or AASM such kinds of IR F&F agms, not for laser guide/ regular bombs/ rockets, it doesn’t matter for a plane only take other kinds of loadouts, especilly when new SPAAs added in the game, and also this change will make those CAP only stay on the sky and do nothing when they only have aams( landing also will waste your SP)
So for the best change is just change the SP cost of loadouts, such as when players choose to take IR AGMS, when they respawn 2nd time, the IR AGM loadouts’ cost will increase, but not for other kinds of CAS loadouts. and also return SP back for planes so after CAP and landing on the AF, it is allowed to let planes switch loadout instead pay all the SP to choose other loadouts.
This benefits WW2 era as well. That basic idea is thus refuted by the fact that it finally shuts down someone bombing the hell out of tanks with both skyraiders and corsairs without penalty. Now there is a penalty for them dying the first time.
But also this change will be good for YAK9K to respawn again, it only limit bombers, without these CAS, nothing can stop German heavy tanks, and also those small nations will not able to play anymore
It’ll be good to see these changes fleshed out considering there’s been multiple that impact the ‘ease’ of gaining SP, and being able to spawn like we have done in the past.
SP costs, at least as we know now, will take even the rounds carried in to effect. So no, this does not “only limit bombers.” It limits everything, because airplane class/role is now irrelevant.
