the r27er is one of the best missiles in the game to kill multipathers.
Nah that was just comparing it to r-27er which has the same 8g target overload, but that’s not a direct comparison (as r-37m has a much larger warhead to compensate for its lesser maneuverability).
R-37m great grandfather (r-33, 3 generations old) is confirmed to be 19 Gs for a 4 g target overload.
R-37m has 8 g target overload, i would expect it to be anywhere between 25-40 Gs, with it being closer to the 25g load imo. I’m expecting 32ish Gs.
Target g overload doesn’t mean everything, for example both r-73 and r-77 are rated for 12g target overload, but r-73 is 60gs while r-77 is 50 gs.
You can see how the fins aggressively makes the missile loft in this video (not necessarily maneuverability but just to show people that have have the misconception that it’s somehow less maneuverable than an aim 9b lol)

base r77 is dogpoo. -1 is good. Better than the 120 at closer ranges. Both have more drag than they should

and long range shots in WT are irrelevant
any missiles shot at longer ranges than 20km are trivial to dodge
there is no need for an even longer range missile, because we arent even using the full range of our current missiles
SM2 with AL-41 isn’t even operational yet, it still just uses uprated AL-31FPs.
Also it can’t use Irbis irl, just upgraded Bars.

It does, it also comes with R-77M.
However, via Gaijin’s rules, the SM2 can use Al-41, since they WERE fitted and tested to a few SM2s.
Idfk where they got the SM2 with Irbis from though.
Su-30SM2 also didn’t get his full kit, also many other jets
