ADATS, what Gaijin got wrong

Nope

Welcome to the new smokeless, that is not smokeless at all ;P
It was not broken, so gaijin “fixed” it

apparently CLAWS 9X is also pretty visable now, because US aa was just so good

Nah, that is all smokeless motors. Or at least what gaijin thinks is smokeless (and somehow Pantsir is in that category)

yeah but what this affects most is the missiles that relied on being smokeless

so aim9M aim9X and ADATS are some of the most affected

EVERY previously smokeless missile is significantly smokier, and ironicall ive notice pretty much every Fox 2 got a smoke reduction. which is insane to me, increased smokeless motor smoke and decresed the smoke of most fox 2s.

So there’s nothing to be done huh

What makes me frustrated that in videos the smoke isn’t even as it’s in game, and in brochures it says that “it does not give away the launcher’s location”

probably still worth bug reports because they dont always think changes like that through

I’ll try to put something together when im home

there should be video of adats firing, you can probably use that

I know, but knowing the managers, they’ll ignore it or just deny it

Especially when this absolutely dumb change of the blowout panels not working as they properly should, aka you dying because your ammo detonated in the ammorack

Smokeless report, once again
[DEV] MIM-146 should be smokeless

According to Gaijin, missile matches real life datapoints

I’ll let you guys decide if it does.

This is the test-footage of it (Which is also linked in Devil’s bug report)

Well it depends, flight wise the missile is already overperforming significantly due to much lower drag, but it only makes partially up for Gaijin’s simplified launch and tracking/guidance model. It’s going about 20% faster than it should at 6,8km, but it is not guided as well as it should be.

In addition to the fact it does not meet provided guidence datapoints, these datapoints are for a “early development”. Production missile was even better, but no data was made public.
