I wanted to go around ADATS radar detecting missiles and other thing, but as of now i seem to lack the ground.
Things here will not be enough, Gaijin will just say that it can destroy them, not locate using radar.

This sounds so silly. So, the operator would be watching the skies with TV/FLIR looking for missiles, even though there’s an advanced radar onboard? I’ll see if I can find anything about this.

From ASMZ 7/82 p. 355:
To reliably detect targets with low radar cross-sections as well as guided missiles, the system is designed for high detection probability and resolution.
From Schweizer Soldat 3/87 p. 25:
The radar ensures a high detection probability by detecting even the smallest targets, such as missiles and small helicopters.
The brochure + these 2 should be enough for them. Would you mind to report it?

TWS works by getting feeds of data about the target and saving them in memory to then form calculations based on change of location based on time . now you have a rough data set which can tell you the extras like speed and headings. thats TWS and as scan pattern gets faster, it gets more accurate. you dont need a track radar for TWS, thats the whole point

If they keep pumping CAS into top tier without a decent counter all the people wanting to play the the more modern ground vehicles will drop it soon enough.
We are going to get Rapier or SkySabre before ADATS buff.
Most likely Rapier. I expect multi systems on the second half of next year.
And as we all know, UK has a giant 10.3 hole that needs to be filled.

Would Rapier even fill that hole? 7-8km Range?
Especially if 10km is the new 10.3 SACLOS standard.

It was a joke about the amount of 10.3 SPAA (I know AD is 10.0, but you can very much count it as the 10.3).
And will it, i think so. OSA is 10.3, as it is slow. Rapier is very much a Roland/ASRAD-R equivalent.

What did they mean by that ?? We can already detect / lock on to missiles via radar long time ago.
but against drone Radar are really wonky. (only IRST are effective for locking drone).
Radar should be able to detect drone just like how they detect missiles.
This mean that they still could not do a proper job handle proper bug report very well.
