You’re a US main, and you want a German vehicle in the US tree because it’s better than everything you have.

Britain is in charge of the Commonwealth, they rule over those two countries. Yes, they are independently governed, but they have the same ruling monarch.

Funny, according to everybody else on the forum, the M4 Sherman and the M26 Pershing are both better than any German WWII vehicle. I don’t want it because it’s better, I want it because it’s unique. That version only exists because it was assembled that way by the US museum. As for only being tested, the Japanese M47 and Tiger were both only tested.
Yes. Australia and New Zealand are both so close with the British that you, check notes, don’t buy their equipment.

Ok, get one person who isn’t a troll, to come here and explain to me, in detail, why an M4 Sherman is better than a Panther G, or a Tiger, tell me why and how an M26 is better than a Tiger ii.
I want A-4K because it’s unique, what happens? Gaijin doesn’t add it, and if they do it will go to the US tech tree, when it should be in the British tech tree.
Still German equipment, yes, the US did assemble it, but that doesn’t make it a US tank,
Japanese Tiger didn’t even make it to Japan afaik. Don’t know anything about the M47. Also the Japanese Tiger was sent to Japan via lend lease, it wasn’t just kind of taken by Japan

We used to buy British equipment, but American aircraft work better for New Zealand and Australia, due to how our countries operate, and if you want to check your notes again, New Zealand don’t have any American combat aircraft or tanks either.
Edit: New Zealand used to operate Strikemaster, which was British, and used up until 1992, just before the combat aircraft were disbanded

The Panther II G is even less historical in the German tree. The Chinese have a captured T-62 that’s just a museum piece.
So the Tiger I not even making it to Japan but ending up in their tree just further justifies the Panther II G in the US tree.

Back to the topic - if the REAL Panther II was in the game, what would the proper Turm Panther 2 (schmale Blendenausführung) actually look like and what gun would it mount??

Effectively similar to the Schmalturm but without the rangefinder. Same 75 mm as the other Panthers.
I want to point out, there are schematics for a version of this turret with a rangefinder, however that only came around after the Panther II was abandoned and Rheinmetal (at the time in charge of the turret) was asked to create a new turret for the Panther that eventually would lead to the Schmalturm. Since Rheinmetal’s progress was slow, the task was then given to Daimler Benz, and they basically made a new turret from scratch which became the Schmalturm.

The mighty M4A3E8 Easy Eight is vastly superior to the German Cats because it has better mobility, traverse speed and gun depression and will always snipe the barrel of a German Cat with 100% accuraccy, rendering them ineffective. The end.

Cool stuff. I personally like the normal panther turret, looks better and works well with volumetric.

:-( no more turret mantlet black hole. Still doesnt impact my opinion on the better looking original Panther’s turret.
As sweden has better version of leopard 2, Sweden should get better version of panther.

I just never rely on Panther armour at all tbh. Uptiers are always likelier than downtiers at any BR, but given player population distribution, some are more affected than others.
Since the BR changes, at 6.7 I’ll get the occasional 6.7 or 7.0 game, the occasional 7.7, and many 7.3. However, playing a greater amount of games with the new 5.7 lineup after the recent changes, I’ve never played lower than 6.3.
That’s not a problem, just a factor in what you decide to do. 6.3 and 6.7 games mean you’ll see lots of M-51s, IS-2s, the occasional T34, Ontos, Su 100 P…the composition of the enemy force you are likely to face makes any protection the Panther might offer you basically irrelevant in my experience. So, the rest of the security onion gets priority.
If the real Panther II prototype came to the game, I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the shape of its gun mantlet.
It would be lower than the current in-game Pan II, because of weaker gun and depends on the engine Gj chose to put in, maybe weaker than the current Pan II.
Oh yeah, of course. I wasn’t talking with the 7.0 BR in mind, but with my recent 5.7 games in mind, where I use the Panther D frequently - and it does have a rounded gun mantlet.
I haven’t played 6.0 since the BR changes yet. Not sure how I feel about that lineup yet and what the best “game plan” for using it is gonna be.
Hmmmm, I can use the D as a break through tank destroyer. I mostly use it in longer range maps, city brawling maps are no good for the D.
Idk, but there is a solid line up with the Tiger E and the 3 panthers now.
