Acquiring old event vehicles after the fact

Your “Counter” is false as you can obtain them from the SL loot boxes that Gaijin periodically releases. These also contains Coupons which you can sell on the market for GJN coins, guess how players obtain these Gaijin coins?

Money.

Why are you ignoring this glaring contradiction to your beliefs?

Some of them are not for sale even on the market like the tog which I have and want other people to be able to get

Gambling boxes have certainly been better than no chance at all of ever getting them. I actually got some vehicles I always really wanted through them but was never around for those events. Especially important since I am a console player and didn’t have access to them on Market.
It’s still quite a low chance of getting exactly what you want though (I’ve been really lucky with them I’ll admit).

I don’t like it very much because it makes the vehicle no longer unique, but assuming that gaijin added this (they never will) there would have to be a lot of rules and limits to achieve it, as you can only unlock one per year, you should have the vehicle’s technology tree, for example, I have all tanks, helicopters and planes in Russia and I have the entire German land line, so I could only unlock German land vehicles from events, and these vehicles should have a high research cost and silver lions, as there will be many people buying golden eagles to unlock them faster (gaijin likes that) but I still don’t really like the idea even though I really wanted the T72M2, BMD4, OBJ279 and the C2A1 in Germany. They also cannot be used for grinding, and they must receive less RP and SL than the originals, they must be something that differentiates them from the original vehicles, so that only people with level 100 accounts and more than 2 years of game can touch them, I’m not being selfish, after all I myself don’t have much of them that I wanted

its not fair for the people that grind this tanks in the Events + this make events useless (also do you want every Russian main with a IS-7,and the rest objects ,a German main with E-100???

  • it would destroy the marketplace economy

Did you even read my previous comments or do any research? As stated before, some of these vehicles aren’t obtainable AT ALL. Not through SL loot boxes and there are no coupons on the market.
Either way, my main point is to give people the option of getting these rare and seemingly overpriced (If they even have a price you can pay) vehicles without having to go back in time to when the event was ran.
We need a way for newer players to have access to this stuff as it’s completely unfair that games can lock things behind limited time event that actually have an effect on gameplay. Imagine if COD made it so the only way to use the MP5 was to join an event that lasts a week. After that week, it’s no longer able to be obtained, ever again… That is WT and some of these vehicles.

I see where you’re coming from, but I think it’s unfair that those people should be the only ones to be given an opportunity to own the vehicle. People will come to the game wanting to play their favourite tanks/planes/ships, only to find those vehicles were available behind a taxing one-time grind many years before they even began playing.

I think events should be redefined to be recurring things by nature rather than one-offs.

IS-7 and Object 279? Yes! I’d like to see them brought back like any other. Though I do think the difficulty of their grinds should scale to reflect their original grinds a bit.

I would like to see its original tournaments re-run regularly (two or three times a year, for argument’s sake). The E-100 population would hardly get out of hand given the small proportion of e-sports players in the playerbase. I’m not saying Gaijin should give out a tournament prize as freely as a regular event vehicle.

“its not fair for the people that grind this tanks in the Events”
This would be more fair actually, as it’ll give everyone the chance to get these vehicles. How would this be “unfair” to the people who already have the vehicles and have been playing with them for years? At that point, it’s just being selfish and keeping features of the game from other players, many of whom might’ve tried getting that vehicle during the original event but had something come up that stopped them in the end. (power cut, etc…)

“this make events useless”
No it won’t, events would be the same as before. This feature would actually be longer than the events as you’d need to put in more rp than the events would need. However, you’d actually be able to do this over a long period of time instead of being forced to grind in the short term.

The marketplace in its current form is a pretty flawed system and needs an overhaul or outright replacement anyway, in my opinion. The only way for someone to get an IS-7 shouldn’t be to fork out over a fortnight’s salary to pick up one of the handful of coupons left for sale. Even then it isn’t a guarantee; at time of writing there is a grand total of zero on the market.

I wouldn’t mind it if Gaijin routinely created more coupons to inject into the market, keeping prices reasonable. If the average player could pick up an IS-7 at any given time for, say, ~80 GJC, I don’t think that would be a terrible system.

If it means that a much larger portion of the player base gets access to event vehicles then sure.

I still maintain the view that locking ANY vehicle with at least a small gameplay difference behind battle passes or events is a huge mistake.

Why should I be the only one in my lobby to have the petard, I would love to see more of them around, same with the firos.

Why should I be the only one to have a straight upgrade of an already great plane (B7A2 Homare 23) when it would make everyone else’s Japan grind better?

Another quick point against the marketplace: as far as I know the cost of GJC isn’t adjusted for regional pricing, meaning players from countries with relatively weak currencies don’t really have it as an option.

I hope gaijin puts back the Swordfish MK2 for a british event/GE during a british event

Yup. Not to mention more egregious ones like the Sturmtiger, TOG and EBR (1954)…

I’m especially salty I missed this because I was on holiday. Same with HMS Barham

Also missed the Tejas and T86 due to exams

Ouch, I feel your pain. I’ve been missing events for a while myself, wonder if I’ll live to regret it

would help people actually materialize that X vehicle exists since the quantity of players which have let’s say the american M8 LAC don’t play it daily, while a normal also wouldn’t there would be a constant influx of new owners of said vehicle to see in matches
