Acquiring old event vehicles after the fact

I would absolutely love that thing for my babies:

I think it’s too easy.

Let me explain: if you make something like making the event vehicle available after just unlocking a single rank in the tech tree, it becomes too easy.

A much more realistic approach would be to have the vehicle unlocked only after you have completed the entire tech tree for that nation. Once you finish the tech tree, a new tech tree could appear for that nation like you said called “event tab”. A more common term for this system is “prestige.”

Additionally, I would suggest that if you want the vehicle, it should cost 10 times the normal amount of RP & SL. for example if it’s a rank 2 vehicle it would cost 200k rp, and there should be a requirement that the vehicle needs to be at least 2 years old to unlock the vehicle. This would make the first event more interesting.

eh I don’t like the 10x more part but the rest is reasonable I would say 5x more just to keep people interested in them.

+1, Agreed but it should come with a cap towards who is able to access this tab, I don’t want to see new (account created in the last year) players, who weren’t even around for the event, having access to the vehicles, ik that may seem counterintuitive but just look how the recent premium sales have affected the game, there still needs to be a level of exclusivity towards event vehicles or they just become worthless and lose their charm.

I have no words. It’s just dumb.

I think requiring all vehicles in its rank, or having all vehicles in all lower ranks too would be better. Maybe the requirement to unlock it could be to spade all of those vehicles instead of unlocking the whole TT which could take way too long.

I agree. It doesn’t make sense for an event vehicle to instantly be researchable days after the event ended.

+1 Would be a great way of allowing players to get old event vehicles, would also be a good way to get removed vehicles too from the World War rewards or the Chronicles events, or even to offer a way to get removed/unique exclusive vehicles too. The high price and requirements for 100% parts of a TT would still make them quite rare to see and keep some of their exclusivity.

This would also allow console users to get access to past event vehicles which would be great for them.

I think just researching them would be too easy, and since a lot of this ones are premiums i think on doing something like this:
Once you research all vehicles from the desired vehicle rank you unlock some tasks, (like the old winter/summer event stars before the point stars began) and by doing 5 of those you gain access to it, it would make it a bit harder but more rewarding

The mark of (can’t spell) are hard to acheive for people who like me yes have had the game since 2020 but still are not incredibly good at the game cause we never had the time to. So I like the idea of just reseraching except I said this the rescher is 5x more epesnive and 5x the exp is need to unlokc it.

Counter, as I stated before, they aren’t even selling any of these. They are currently making 0 money from these vehicles atm as no-one has any way of currently obtaining them. If this is added they would actually be able to make use of the assets they’ve made and because of the high rp costs, lots of people who want that vehicle but don’t want to grind may just spend gold to grind it faster

Gaijin coins aren’t free. If they are on the market, they are producing money.

Tin-Foil hat time, who’s to say Gaijin doesn’t throw an ultra-rare vehicle on the market under the guise of a normal player every once in a while? They have already proven their capabilities of doing so by inflating the amount of keys on the market to ensure a certain player didn’t create a monopoly on them.

This would be good for those really old event vehicles that are on the market at over $1,000, would mean people can actually use them for once in how many years.

Those Crates in the Battlepass are for Past Battle Pass Vehicles not event Vehicles. The OP is talking old Event vehicles like the IS-7, OBJ 279, BMD-4 (which we are getting a premium modification of), Pak Puma, etc. Not just Battlepass Vehicles but old EVENT vehicles. And also removed vehicles like the Flak Panther, Tiger 10.5, and Panther 2.

This is a great idea! I have been playing since 2012 (Old Guard Tittle) and i dont even have 10% of these event vehicles because i was doing other things so i missed a majority of them. For the Really old event vehicles that are worth say 500+ Gaijin dollars on the Market i say the RP cost should be in the 2-4 million depending on the rank of the vehicle. As for the SL cost i dont really think that in itself matters to much because if your Dedicating all your RP earnings in the nation to that vehicle you would have plenty of SL to spend after finally unlocking it but a price similar to rank 6 or above vehicles would be sufficient even for low tier vehicles. As for requirements to unlock i think it should be more than Just having all the vehicles in the rank of the vehicle and should be Spaded all the vehicles of the required rank so you are forced to either have spaded them previously or spade them now if you havent, and if you dont want to play said vehicle well theres always the GE route (which gets bloody expensive) so that could be looked at as a requirment instead of just having the vehicles in the associated rank.

The only vehicle i say should not be apart of this list is the E-100 as it was a tournament vehicle and should remain as such.

I’m a console player and since someone (both side point the finger at each other) refuse to even give console market access, I’d really love to see some system that let’s us get access to old event vehicles. I’d trade my QN 506 coupon for a QF 3.7 Ram or a Leopard C2 in a heartbeat.

Want access to the market? Build or buy a PC, Post on the transfer forum, follow the proceedings and have your account transfered to PC. no you will not be able to access the progress on the console account again because it effectivly gets deleted but you want the market thats the price you gotta pay. Market was never meant to be available on console and it never will come to console because not only does PSN and XBL not want player run markets like that but thats an extra layer of money that they wont ever see. atleast with premiums purchased on console the platform gets a portion of the cost. Market would put 100% of the money in Gaijins pocket and Microsoft and Sony do not want that.

I’m probably an old fart but I love the rare nature of his vehicles.
You can’t have everything, that’s part of the game of life.

I think that would kinda defeat the purpose. but IF we had to go on with getting Event vehicles with RP the i would suggest that you would need some tweakes.
(What im about to write is just something i came up in less than a minute that would need smoe more tweaking for balance)

  1. Only making reasearing accasible after researing the ENTIRE TT.
  2. You are only able to research vehicles of the TT you have compleated and only in its respective vehicle form (if you finished the German AIr TT then you can only research the German Event planes and not tanks or aynthing else until you researched those too.)[once new vehicles are added you wont be able to research the Event vehicles until you researched the TT vehicles]
  3. Maybe instead of researching a direct vehicle you can research a loot crate with a random vehicle in it for 5.000.000 RP and 2.500.000 SL (price may be adjusted)(this high price would guarantee that even the most sweaty grinders cant just speed grind through the event vehicles in a month or something keeping at least some rarety)

Edit/Afterthough: Instead of using regular RP you shall use convertabl RP so they finally have a use. Even if you were forced to use GL(so Gaijin can make a metric Sh*tton of money)

Edit/Afterthough2: The chance of getting a vehicle id directly bound to the availability on the market meaning have lower chances to get rarer vehicles (this also means that the E100 would be impossible to get since 0 availeble E100 → 0% chance to get it unless some E100 becomes Availeble)
Also you get the vehicle instantly and cant sell it so it doesnt screw with the market
Also new Event vehicles will be added to the loot crate 3 months after the event ended. so there is at least some chance for the market to do its market things. this would also mean that the market can be a direct and cheaper way than getting the loot crate

any critism is welcome

also sorry for any grmmatical errors that may come up

Now I admit it speaks a little more. it would give a second wind to the old ones who have grinded well and we would still miss vehicles and then it would be a bit like the Holy Grail of the game.
Complete your entire tree to finally have access to the rarest vehicles in the game

If you pay for a new PC and every hardware update it ever needs for me, maybe…
