Accusing players with old accounts

Hi there. I made my account wayyy back in 2014. Played a fair bit back then, but stopped, only coming back every now and again.
I recently started playing again. Someone noticed I have the “Old Guard” title while only being lvl 57. I was almost immediately accused of having purchased my account by a lvl 100 player in the game, and afterwards in PMs.
My question is: is this commonplace nowadays? Just having an old account that isn’t high level is grounds for accusations like that? I’m pretty annoyed by this, as it isn’t the first time it’s happened recently. And don’t tell me “turn off chat” because that’s not what I’m asking. I know I can do that. I’m wondering if the community is really just that toxic these days.

If someone is insulting you on chat, please use in game complain function to report such behaviour.

This game is made so even those on the same side compete against each other.That is the nature of the beast as they say.
Like the Forum you acquire a trail of idiots and meet some genuinely great people.
There are some very helpful and pleasant individuals on here.Not all bad news : )

It’s only kids without a life that’ll do that sort of accusations.

I started my account back in 2013 and have almost 20k battles now. Find a community of likeminded people and just ignore the shitheads

Activate 2 factor on your account.
Hacking of old accounts is uncommon but still a threat more than anything else.
