Account Problems

Im not sure what happened but when I opened war thunder it asked me log in again, which I thought was strange as it has never asked me to do so. When I logged in, it was if I had just started the game, all my data was gone. Maybe I created a new war thunder account? I have linked my Gaijin account with my steam account and that is it. I tried many times before to add an email address or phone number but it never worked. The account that I have always used is under the username daBlackChicken, however when I had to login back into the game, it created a new account under the name daBlackChicken1, or something like that name. For “daBlackChicken”, I have only used my steam account to sign in, while for this new one, I used my gmail account. I have contacted customer support but they haven’t said anything. What do I do?

If you open up your profile in the hangar you should have this option:

When accessing the game through steam it should automatically log you in to the steam created account (or there might be an option to sign in through steam on the login screen). If it doesn’t automatically log you in and there is no option then try verifying the game files through steam.

If that doesn’t work then i don’t personally have any other solutions and you will have to wait for support to answer, it might take them a while to answer though:

When I press that it takes me back to the login screen, but the thing is, the account with all my progress is a steam-bound account. I have not set an email or phone no. for it, which in hindsight was something I probably should have done.
