I’ve been playing some british WWII vehicles and i’ve noticed with incredible frequency that the already garbage solid shot now often results in 0 spalling. As an example i shot a t-34 in the centre front of it’s hull from the front, at about 100m, there was no spalling at all. the only resulting damage was to the engine.
I know gaijin seems to think this kind of thing is funny, why else would they allow such freqent and blantant “bugs” save for incredible ineptitude. but i can’t be the only one that’s noticed this additionally poor performace with solid shots.

This seemed to be consistent with all non APHE/HE rounds, HEAT APDS and APFSDS all suffer considerably from this, this is since they changed the APFSDS to actual models of DS and the spalling seem to be very funny.

This is a bug that the game has had since its inception, and one of the biggest disasters that generates a terrible imbalance in the game, but apparently the devs don’t care at all, since they haven’t bothered in more than 10 years. in balancing the damage of the bullets in a minimally realistic way, and they have decided to keep this absurd APHE damage model with death ball, and all the other bullets working in a pathetically and unrealistic way except for some APDS-FS (I imagine that for games with top tier are not fucking shit), and high-caliber HEs.

It feels like it’s a lot more common to me at the moment. generally i’ll get one of these every few games, sometimes i’ll just chalk it up to desync. but recently i’ve been getting at least one very blatant one every game.
I have been suffering from it for years now, whenever you use tanks that do not have APHE you will suffer from it.
