Abrams Turret ring hit box


anyone notice you can get hit anywhere and the turret ring is done? I feel like this hitbox is almost accurate. hehe

How you can hit anywhere on the side of the Abrams and it would destroy the turret ring. Gee, i didn’t know that shooting the side of a tank would disable it.

I thought thats what hes trying to convey but there’s just a poorly highlighted in MS paint abrams and the incorrect statement that it breaks when hit anywhere.

Technically, it would be more historically accurate for the turret drive to die by hitting the engine, as that is where it really is. What they call the hydraulic pump in game is a hydraulic fluid reservoir. What I have found more annoying in recent time is penetrating hits have a chance to ricochet into the ammo when hitting the engine deck after exiting the turret.

I haven’t touch the Abrams in a minute does it still unload the gun when the blowout panels deploy?

Last I checked, yes. Though I also haven’t used anything other than sabot for a while.

It’s obviously impossible for that to really happen. Gotta love how Gaijin forces the loader to open the blast door and grab a round that somehow wasn’t eviscerated by being in a 3000 degree fire, then somehow makes an APFSDS round de-materializes (Which breaks the laws of physics, as energy was destroyed) so a different round can be loaded.

Idk from last time I played the Abrams if you go ammo racked your round already loaded in the cannon ceased existence so you couldn’t shoot back. I want to get clarification that is still the case.

I’ll tech a round of MPAT while I play tomorrow, see what happens. Maybe kill some pesky KA-50s.

I think it might have been fixed, but I’m not sure if it really was or because I had ammo in the second part of the bustle rack. But I think I will actually bring MPAT now.
