The M1A2 abrams consistently gets one shot or the entire turret crew wiped out from one shot on the LFP or the side. I believe adding the crew cage would (kind of) be the spall liners for the Abrams. While it would not stop a full sabot, it will stop the spall unless the sabot direct impacts a crew member. It will not create new spall either.

careful lol… gaijin might do something like the did for the begleitpanzer… make the whole turet basket the turret ring. and then any damage to the basket disables the turret ring

True. But I believe that the Abrams, a tank designed for crew survivability should have more survivability. The DU hull is also missing. The LFP is where I get shot and die 90% of the time and the Abrams is currently the second worst top tier MBT next to the Merkava (in my opinion)

Type 10, Challenger 2, Ariete, Leclerc and VT4 are all weaker than the Abrams.
Abrams is currently second or third strongest MBT in the game at the moment quite happily as it has the second best round in the game with a 5 second reload, good survivability and good mobility.

All those tanks are pretty decent against the Abrams. The abrams has massive weakspots, while most of these tanks only have their smaller LFP. The abrams is even bad at hulldown, since the turret can be penetrated. While I agree with the Ariete, these tanks just have better UFP protection than the abrams and need more careful aim placement.
They all have bigger weakspots. Most have weaker shells.
Challenger 2 for example the only part of the tank that isnt a weakspot is the turret cheeks.

The LFP weakspot on the abrams is still considerably large. The Challenger 2 APFSDS is still enough to penetrate the LFPs of every MBT in the game, which is what people aim for. And the challenger 2 front is all weakspots. But still, the abrams is a joke compared to in real life. The Leopard 2A7V and T90M outclass it. The WZ1001, Type 10, and Leclerc are quite even to it.

So are ALL Top tier MBTs, except the T-80BVM
The Abrams is still the second or third best top tier MBT in the game as it has better armour, firepower and mobility than 7/10 tanks in the game and only a few match it in one of those criteria.

The T90M is still quite overpowered alongside the Leopard 2A7V, compared to the Sep v2. While they both got spall liners, the sep v2 got some useless upgrades.

Sep V3 should be the king of armored combat. DU hull, DU turret, side turret upgrades, crew basket, 90000mm armor on the turret ring, crew vests that makes them eat obj 292 apfsds and only be yellow, M829A4 which pens UFP of the T90M, trophy, etc (this is a joke but it should be leagues superior to the sep v2)
