So what is the point, gaijin nerf abrams and leopard turret while others still good. Thats stupid. You can’t add things on some tanks and not add these on others. Every time your turret basket is hit it is over for you. Gaijin should remove this at least wait for the others tanks.

They do add them to many tanks at once, and having played top BR since major update, there’s effective no survivability change from my perspective.
Anyway, I feel like the M1 Abrams (+KVT) should get a better round…
It was a move to nerf NATO tanks that’s it, i don’t know about the Abrams it was already underperfoming now it’s worse.
The change made exactly 0 difference for the Abrams. The turret ring already got knocked out by every penning hit before the change. If anything it made it more survivable similar to the autoloaders.
The basket now helps more spall kill the crew, before the change the shell would kill 2 crew + turret ring + engine, now it’s a guaranteed death.
I usually one shot killed Abrams tanks in the turret ring even before the turret basket change. Like it was already incredibly easy to 1 shot kill, I don’t think the turret basket made it much worse.
Hell, even if you didn’t 1 shot kill them before the turret basket nerf, the first hit was usually Breach+engine+turret ring anyway so the Abrams was as good as dead anyway.
But it’s considered a nerf, the Abrams did not need anything such this, it needed and still need an armor buff, DU to the hull and turret ring to be volumetric with more than 50mm of protection.
the biggest nerf is actually to the 2a7 since you can now shoot the lower plate to get past the armor and still get the turret rotation mechanism where previously you would maybe get 1 or 2 crew or just the driver. the Abrams survivability was already so ass the change legit doesn’t even matter.
actually that nerf hitted quite hard on especially leo when shooting them on side with autocannons, also, before when shooting leo on side on abrams or t80 usually they just turned turret on you and returned favor. now they are crippled quite often.
It also sometime eat the whole shell like how it is on the T series, why mate gotta spread that Gaijin is an Anti-Nato and a russian biased company. If you believe so you can just change game , don’t spread lies. Like the guy said above. It make no different
When did i say anything such as this? It was a straight nerf to NATO tanks, am i wrong? And if this game is 100% realistic when shooting the autoloader the tank shouldn’t have the ability to turn the turret at all and it should pop to the air like we’ve seen countless times.
No ? In fact it even help cause if the tank got spall liner it will absorb what little spall there is produced by said dart. Otherwise it doesn’t change much
When is the game 100% realistic ? Who said that ? Gaijin ? They claimed their game to be 100% super realistic so you believed them ? You expect to have full war experience , metal on metal combat when you sitting in your crusty chair in your house in front of a monitor and expect full on realism ?
No it’s doesn’t. A shot to the 2A7 on the lower front plate would’ve taken out 2 crew and still be able to shoot after a sec, now it’s gonna take out your horizontal and driver.
The Abrams did not need another nerf, it needed a buff so modelling something that’s wrong in the first place and saying it’s going to benefit the tank which clearly doesn’t is simply a braindead take ngl.
I’ve never said that this game is realistic, infact it’s far from it ,so modelling realistic shit into the tank, like batteries is complete BS and that can be said on the basket too.
The nerf is absolutely bs, now the round spall double, ive test multiple time, instead of catch the bullet it create more spall, i got one shot more frequent
The Abrams couldn’t survive these shots before and it can’t survive them now.
Well to be fair, turret ring shots and side shots were already one shot kill. Now it just increases the reliability on those shots.
I do agree that these modules should’ve been implemented for all tanks at once.
Yes they said that it’s not possible however it’s only not possible if they spend crazy amount of time to make them look as realistic as possible. We don’t need that and it’s wasted effort for something that has little to no benefit. Low polygon models are fine.
(If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look at the apache modules). Instead of fixing the hellfire, the devs waste their time on that…
they dont fix broken shets they add more broken sheets(xm246 good but the turret basket is ass)
I have only noticed the same or more spall when hitting the turret basket.
Like I said, Abrams usually died in 1 shot anyway when hitting the turret ring, so it doesn’t make a massive difference, but the basket does feel like it creates more spalling when I hit an Abrams there.
