So, the Pz.Kpfw. VIII Maus served in the mid 1940s. I don’t think in served in the Korean War after World War II was over. So I think it would be more realistic if they lowered it’s tier from BR 7.7 to BR 6.7 ish or BR 7.0. I know it’s a monster tank, but it’s not strong enough for BR 7.7, unless if I’m missing something. Any who any thoughts?

“BRs are not historical, they’re a balancing factor” - Gaijin. If it was at 6.7 there wouldn’t really be a single vehicle in the game that could kill it. It’s already a monster in downtiers from 7.7, no need to make that even worse. It’s fine where it’s at and preforms quite well ingame with its amazing armor and monster cannons.

Technically the ussr assembled a Maus from pieces from both prototypes but nobody reasonably wants a maus in the russia tree. The maus was a prototype so it didn’t serve in ww2 either.

I think the Maus could definitely go to 7.3 considering everything at its br basically has APDS and or HEAT and in an uptier it even faces APFSDS as of now with the only thing really keeping you alive is the size of the vehicle and the dispersed crew especially now there are alot of shitty maps like arctic where your slow mobility and poor turret speed makes you basically an open target as soon as you leave spawn you get shot there is not much you can do. But yeah I believe 6.7 or 7.0 is too low but 7.7 is having too many uptier against 8.7s 8.0s and 8.3s, like you can get maybe like 1 or two kills especially once you unlock the better shells
The Maus the USSR has Was never operational tho because it was blown up by the Germans if you watch the video from the chieftain from inside the Maus you can see that it’s basically empty, and yeah it was a prototype as much a prototype as like half the USSR tree it feels like with all their objects
