So mute and block or report what they said during the VIOP. I fail to see how that’s my problem. You mute or do a global mute then if the majority vote yes badabing badaboom he’s muted till the match ends. You’re never gonna see them again anyway so it wouldn’t matter. Even then you can just record the video recording or the replay and send it to Gaijin staff to look into it.
If the guy ends up cussing folks from that match in DM’s you report his DM’s and he gets muted. “Oh no it’s 2024, you can’t do that” Gonna quote Thomas Bertram Lance(June 3, 1931-August 15, 2013) “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”
To put this into basic words, so you can understand what it means, Muting/Global muting isn’t a system you can willy-nilly fix cause it ain’t broken in the first place and hasn’t been broken and remained strong for a solid 29 years way back on the 1995 MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat. Which was when it was integrated into video games.
I didn’t much like WWM when AB was available, and didn’t even bother playing at all when only RB was available, for all I care they could drop it and work on something useful instead, like, maybe decompression…
I also don’t care for RB EC, be it ground or air…
I dont want to put words into your mouth. Just I am tired that: “Trying to balance vehicles that are superior in every aspect compared to their counterpart by year would neglect many vehicles that exist in the game already.” Its just an excuse to do nothing with it. There are so many option for balance: better positions on map, numbers, limited spawn point for better vehicles, better air support for the weaker ground, bot anti tank and aa, etc.
The “mighty balance problem with the eras”, just a shame excuse. At this time there are so many planes, tanks, helis that are “broken” and to powerful, BR ranges are badly balanced on some vehicles. So? Bad balance is the WT “special” feature or gaijin can work on it? I yes, can work a better balance, It could be done on WW2 mode too…
I’m tired of the dumb-nothing burger idea that it should be based on the year it was produced or designed because it always ends up with the trolley problem. Do you kill 5 people or 1 fat guy?
If you choose left for fat person-> going by designs of tanks, then you have vehicles that were being designed and fighting vehicles that are easy prey.
However, if you have 5 people->going by the year of tanks being produced, you get tanks that are fighting vehicles that were not designed to combat the vehicles they’re fighting. , ex: The Type-1 Chi-He->Stuart and M24 Tanks. Not Shermans.
To put this into basic English, M4 Sherman would be historically fighting a Type-1 Chi-He with the Japanese in this case having 0% of winning the match, basically, anyone who joins the game will never touch that tree and it is left abandoned. However this would be going for more than 1 tree.
First: its not a trolley problem. Its a False dilemma argument.
Imagine: yes, vehicles based on year create balance problem. But we have already a lot of solution in game (I don’t write the bias unbalanced vehicles… this is not that problem): we can use scripted bots AT or AA defenses, or we can have on “weaker” side more air support, artillery support, or simple the “worse” tanks are much more cheaper spawn points, so they would have the favor in numbers. And for the “anyone who joins the game will never touch that tree and it is left abandoned”… Maybe give much more reward for the “weaker” team. And bye the way the simplest solution: scenarios. short time periods with specific maps, where the opponents are somehow equal in technique: Example use the Normandy zone, highly limited tiger 2, mostly panzer 4, some tiger, some panthers, td’s, etc. vs. Shermans, much reachable air force, more artillery support, atc. OR El Alamein for Italy/Germany vs Britain, or else, we have a lot of possibilities for all nations: Japan vs China (pick a year), Russia vs Japan (early war, 38-39), France vs Germany 1940. And we have those options for ground, for air, for ships too. So anything what is “oh its not working and they dont play that” its just lazy argument. Simple its not worth the time for relatively small amount of players, who want it. But why are small in numbers? Also simple answer: not worth it, because as the Historical missions/campaigns has useless rewards (I have them, like them wven with the lots of bugs within, but the rewards are simple huge joke), they are not played, so will be this World War mode if it doesnt give any reward for play.
Totally agree, WW is so bad that I never bothered to grind any of its rewards. While remember realistic EC as something playable and providing brand new experience.
I’m curious as to what World War is like. I haven’t been able to play it ever since I started WT nearly two months ago; all I know is that the season is over and I have no way of knowing when the next one will start.
What’s it like? Some people are comparing it to Enduring Conflicts. Enduring Conflicts are great for boosting my ships, even if they last almost two hours…though, RB’s with tanks and aircraft, especially aircraft, are still quite a challenge for me.
