The AAM-4 is overrated and overtuned; its performance does not match the aircraft’s mounting limitations, breaking balance. AAM-4 needs a nerf
to be fair it is overperforming in maneuverability but other than that it’s fine. Could use a slight range buff

The AAM-4 is for me one of the worst toptier’s fox3, it is real that there is a lot of saying that most Japan topier is stilllacking realistic modeling; But saying that the AAM-4 (not even the B !) is overperforming compared to other, this is straight up a skill issue; in fact, Japan toptier, without the Su-30, is one of the worst toptier nation. So maybe the only ones playing it are experienced player that knows what they are doing.

My personal experience it pulls better than most fox 3 other than mica and r77 series. It pulls really well of the rail.
iirc it’s only making like 75% the thrust that it should.
If you want more info on the AAM-4 and what’s right/wrong with it @Xeno_quaza is the guy. Dude is literally the GOAT when it comes to JASDF info.
