AAA and cowards

If enemies are so close that you can’t even land, then you don’t deserve to survive.

This is nonsense!

As everyone knows af aa on some maps are very inconsistent to not exist, or there are ways to get in shooting range without much risk, it’s more and more common enemies, mostly players bombed bases before, flying straight to AFs to kill landing planes.

I played one battle today in Ayit, last mate was a Mig23. Enemies were an AV8 and a Mig21SMT. My mate bombed while spotted. They did nothing. I killed the AV8, and the SMT climbed towards our af, did fake attacks, till my mate runs out of fuel (he want rearm). He killed him while landing. The rest of the match he did the same thing, fake attacks, climbing, running. Maybe he thought I would run out of fuel too.

I see such players minimum every second match.

Imo, the simple solution is to have a very weak AA presence that has long range (e.g early saclos SAMs that fire with very long cool downs between shots) but when som1 is landed and actively repairing, then short range SPAA (~1.5 miles) with extremely thick fire activates.

This would allow players that are low on fuel to have a buffer where enemies don’t wanna cross, without making it impossible to get close to the airfield.

they should do something like “last player on team, alied forces on retreat” that disables airfield AA if ur the last one in ur team

There is no need at all to weakening af aa in any way.

I can count on my ten fingers the battles I lost to an af camper in the last year.
And I NEVER try to kill an enemy at main af inside aa bubble.

I have no problem at all to bring back the old af aa, damage at 4km, dead at 3km.

Another day, another thread like this - Though tbf these threads aren’t all that common.

When some dude is camping his airfield after he has rearmed, refueled, repaired or just doing circles around his AF like it’s NASCAR you got some options:

  1. Stop camping him and give him space to take off, gain alt and give you a fight like you want.

  2. Go PTFO and hit the ground objectives to gain a ticket advantage or catch up on tickets if you are behind. If you have teammates, ask them to hit the ground AI while you watch the dude or vice-versa. If you are by yourself well, tough luck - That’s probably why he’s camping if his team still has the ticket advantage and you have to accept that you cannot win every match.

  3. Deception. Make him think you’re retreating to your own AF, and when he comes after you flip the script on him.

You need to slow down to land, even if the enemy is 3 miles out they can close the gap pretty quick once you get to safe gear speed

Plain nonsense comment - why should the last player get punished or declared as free kill whilst landing/repairing/rearming just because the random (?) MM provided him with a totally stupid team??

They shall only do it WHEN the player have finish Refueling, Rearming and Repaired and if he refuse to take off the SPAA shall not protect him from any incoming threat.

Some planes physically cannot pull enough Gas to evade the bugged Rolands. That makes it possible to camp the AF without even landing.

If they made the Rolands weaker but have longer range, and make the gun AAA stronger but have short range and only activate when som1 is landed, then that would largely solve both base camping issues.

Then you shouldn’t have wasted all your ammo so quickly instead of being forced into a vulnerable situation like that from your own actions and choices! The consequences of that are entirely on your shoulders.

Delusional take

We should just let players who chose to land at a time where they might get strafed live because what? They can’t defend themselves? That’s their fault. And they are coming back into the match loaded for bare after they take off again so making them out to be a defenseless non-threat to your team is absolute nonsense.

Where did i say landing is not okay? It’s perfectly fine you just should have to live with getting strafed if you do and not get a magical safe bubble.

Not true.
I know, even DEFYN is on your site of arguing, the consequence would be vehicles with more ammo/fuel get an unfair advantage. Doesn’t matter the skill of the pilot.
Bombers could do only one run.
You can’t win by killing all ground targets in many scenarios.
The player with more fuel only have to wait his enemy runs out of it.

Vehicles with lots of ammo already have a massive advantage as it is, but it’s not like its impossible to get a good amount of kills done even with low ammo loads, that’s just a skill issue.

You can bring enough fuel to last a whole game in nearly any plane in the game if you wanted to, it’s just a stupid idea since the game will either be over, you will be dead or you will be able to rearm before you get close to running out.

I don’t care about bombers, you guys get enough free shit handed to you already.

You don’t win games by killing ground units unless there’s someone AF camping on the enemy team either, that’s literally the only realistic scenario in which you even have a chance to kill them all, AAA or no AAA.

The part where you basically said if you land then you should be a free kill, and since there is nothing stopping a player from beelining your airfield from the start, you’re saying landing should always result in a free kill

lol, bombers are damn near useless in every mode that isnt sim

Sure, but you want to make it even worse.

Wrong anyway, but here again, you want to make it worse.

Your opinion, mine too, but they are in the game. I don’t know why you think I would fly bombers…

Wrong. I did this often without anyone camping af.
