AA doesn't care about your environment

your experience is not the state of affairs. There are people who played through all of skyrim without seeing a single bug, yet skyrim remains one of the most bugged games in histroy.

And the dude I responded to literally stated that it is still happening. So what are you on about? All I said is that the AI can not shoot through objects but rather objects exist through which you and the AI can shoot. So where is the need for any discussion. Take it up with the guy who mentione dthe bugged behaviour and not me and at least try to stay on topic instead of truning it 180° around

I was explaining. i am not the one who raised the issue. I responded to someone and explained the issue he was having. WTF can none of you read or follow a conversation?

Again. I just corrected a guy who claimed that the AI has the ability to shoot through objects, which it does not. Because colision is per object, not ammunition and AI targets use the same ammunition as the player. So if the AI had ammunition capable of going through objects so would we the player. So it is the object that is bugged.

I neither raised the issue, nor do I particulary care about it. All i did was explain it…

You could at least link to the original post, we have no reason to believe you or the other guy who brought up the issue without evidence

HERE IT IS LITERALLY Post nr 8 in this very threat.
Take it up with him and not me.

Holy hell. whats wrong with you people.

but its not even talking about what you are since he was referring to how spaa in heli pve can aimbot you through cover (not shooting through it directly but aimming and shooting at you through cover (rounds go over terrain due to the ai accounting for bullet drop)

did you eat drugs

In cases of low cloud cover (around 500m, very common currently) aircraft inside the clouds are completely unable to see in any direction. Yet, SPAA and other ground observers can easily see planes silhouetted against the clouds, from far away too. It’s especially an issue in mid tier ground RB.

This is reasonably accurate though. Radar should be largely unaffected by clouds

You are correct about radar. Although it does have some effect, and most notably, there is no clutter in the radar picture in War Thunder at all.

What I am talking about, however, is observation in the visual spectrum. The behaviour here is unrealistically inconsistent between air and ground perspectives.

It literally didn’t

10km range
which is more than hellfire
IMG_0819

and thats not including how the hellfires messed up flight profile makes it not actually hit 8km shots unless target is stationary and the heli is way above it

I think the solution is just to remove inclement weather. It’s fun for no one, just like night battles.

That was years ago…

Vikhr:

The missile is designed to engage vital ground targets, including armoured targets fitted out with built-in and add-on explosive reactive armor, at a range of up to 8 km when fired from a helicopter and 10 km from fixed wing aircraft

When did this patch happen I’veen playing the Mi-4 since launch and the Falanga has always had a 4km max range, same with Heli SS.11 having a 3.5km max range (and in order to hit the 3.5 km max range your heli needed to be moving quick when it launched).

Can you please show me the basis of you Mi-4 8km max range as I’m very curious to see the evidence.
