explain how that makes sense when I have never seen it happen. In fact I’ve only ever seen missiles explode on impact with terrain or players or absolutely nothing when they self destruct
that literally just proves my point, but your wrong either way in that case since they do have a collision hence why rockets and bombs impact them
your experience is not the state of affairs. There are people who played through all of skyrim without seeing a single bug, yet skyrim remains one of the most bugged games in histroy.
And the dude I responded to literally stated that it is still happening. So what are you on about? All I said is that the AI can not shoot through objects but rather objects exist through which you and the AI can shoot. So where is the need for any discussion. Take it up with the guy who mentione dthe bugged behaviour and not me and at least try to stay on topic instead of truning it 180° around
I was explaining. i am not the one who raised the issue. I responded to someone and explained the issue he was having. WTF can none of you read or follow a conversation?
Again. I just corrected a guy who claimed that the AI has the ability to shoot through objects, which it does not. Because colision is per object, not ammunition and AI targets use the same ammunition as the player. So if the AI had ammunition capable of going through objects so would we the player. So it is the object that is bugged.
I neither raised the issue, nor do I particulary care about it. All i did was explain it…
but its not even talking about what you are since he was referring to how spaa in heli pve can aimbot you through cover (not shooting through it directly but aimming and shooting at you through cover (rounds go over terrain due to the ai accounting for bullet drop)
In cases of low cloud cover (around 500m, very common currently) aircraft inside the clouds are completely unable to see in any direction. Yet, SPAA and other ground observers can easily see planes silhouetted against the clouds, from far away too. It’s especially an issue in mid tier ground RB.
You are correct about radar. Although it does have some effect, and most notably, there is no clutter in the radar picture in War Thunder at all.
What I am talking about, however, is observation in the visual spectrum. The behaviour here is unrealistically inconsistent between air and ground perspectives.
and thats not including how the hellfires messed up flight profile makes it not actually hit 8km shots unless target is stationary and the heli is way above it
The missile is designed to engage vital ground targets, including armoured targets fitted out with built-in and add-on explosive reactive armor, at a range of up to 8 km when fired from a helicopter and 10 km from fixed wing aircraft
