AA doesn't care about your environment

I can’t find any information saying that this was ever the case, the in game and real life range has always been around 2 miles

ADATS does, if there is a cloud within 3km of the target it wont lock, and good luck trying to track a missile

so its a bug that has since been patched IIRC several years ago

Bud that’s part of the employment model so that’s why

that’s not a TOW missile so of course it looks like they nerfed it because its a completely different missile, when I say a tow missile I MEAN A TOW missile not any other kind of missile.

I think thats because of the missile guidence system (its not radar guided) but I cant remember what it is exactly, something optical, probably saclos like the tows are

its IR tracking (IRL it also had TV contrast but not in game)

but IRL it was proven to work in bad conditions and could lock over 13km but in game its 10km max and thats in perfect conditions

no not the tracking the missile guidance but yeah it tracking be like that but hey radar still works

yes. And it is not patched, as I have said.

The patched part is jets fyling through the ground, not missiles. please read carefully

No its not. Every AI object is a model and has no sorrounding vegetation, landmass or similar. The fact that we have AA emplacemnts without any dirt cover, just played on a grassy field shows that cleary. Every encampment is placed as a seperate model and can then be stacked with different weapons. hence why we have some bunkers with all arty or all AAA while many other use 2 arty 1 AAA.

The bunker is the object with the landscaping features, not the actual AAA, arty or similar. Those can be placed fully independent

The missile guidance is laser beam riding but the lock on is IRST which can’t track through clouds at all in game

explain how that makes sense when I have never seen it happen. In fact I’ve only ever seen missiles explode on impact with terrain or players or absolutely nothing when they self destruct

that literally just proves my point, but your wrong either way in that case since they do have a collision hence why rockets and bombs impact them

If it’s not patched then get a replay of it happening and submit a bug report. Complaining on the forums with no evidence at all helps no one

your experience is not the state of affairs. There are people who played through all of skyrim without seeing a single bug, yet skyrim remains one of the most bugged games in histroy.

And the dude I responded to literally stated that it is still happening. So what are you on about? All I said is that the AI can not shoot through objects but rather objects exist through which you and the AI can shoot. So where is the need for any discussion. Take it up with the guy who mentione dthe bugged behaviour and not me and at least try to stay on topic instead of truning it 180° around

I was explaining. i am not the one who raised the issue. I responded to someone and explained the issue he was having. WTF can none of you read or follow a conversation?

Again. I just corrected a guy who claimed that the AI has the ability to shoot through objects, which it does not. Because colision is per object, not ammunition and AI targets use the same ammunition as the player. So if the AI had ammunition capable of going through objects so would we the player. So it is the object that is bugged.

I neither raised the issue, nor do I particulary care about it. All i did was explain it…

You could at least link to the original post, we have no reason to believe you or the other guy who brought up the issue without evidence

HERE IT IS LITERALLY Post nr 8 in this very threat.
Take it up with him and not me.

Holy hell. whats wrong with you people.

but its not even talking about what you are since he was referring to how spaa in heli pve can aimbot you through cover (not shooting through it directly but aimming and shooting at you through cover (rounds go over terrain due to the ai accounting for bullet drop)

did you eat drugs

In cases of low cloud cover (around 500m, very common currently) aircraft inside the clouds are completely unable to see in any direction. Yet, SPAA and other ground observers can easily see planes silhouetted against the clouds, from far away too. It’s especially an issue in mid tier ground RB.
